1.4ghz is a meaningless measurement. 1.4ghz in terms of an x86 chip would be awful, 1.4ghz in these low power cpu's us perfectly acceptable & will run perfectly.
I suggest you go brush up on why quoting raw clock speeds hasn't really been relevant since the late 90s

Mine is still processing, ordered Nov 27th.
They say they are awaiting stock and will despatch as soon as it arrives. Bang goes the thought of giving it for a Christmas present though. They do say I can have a refund or swap it for something else - but I would have to pay the difference - so that's not a good offer.
Will wait and probably be delivered sometime in Jan :disappointed:
Annoying thing is they still advertise it and make no mention of delays.

And dont forget duty of £19.00 and at least two weeks wait
Yes, that's what I thought. You lose the one key recovery but that doesn't matter so much with windows 10 as you can create your own recovery disc. I also lost efi secure boot on my asus when I did a clean install yet was fine with Lenovo. Again no great issue.

Is there an 8" tablet with good specs?

How does putting a clean install of windows 10 work when it's android as well. Reason I ask is to do a proper clean install of windows normlly involves removing all partitions which would include the android one as well. I suppose this one could be left but just wondered if anyone had ever done this.
I love the way the Chinese over exaggerate their descriptions. Ultra book indeed hahahahahahahahahaha. Nice spec though for the money.

When buying anything over $23 you should always factor in customs duty. You may be fortunate and may not have your package chosen for inspection thus not having to pay such fees. DHL and the other major expedite shippers adhere to the law rigidly and will apply customs automatically.
Also, as stated above, if anything goes wrong with your device, you'll have to send it back to China regardless of which Gearbest warehouse you purchased it from at your expense.

Correct, does not qualify for duty. But if pulled by customs, there would be import fees of VAT + courier's admin fee, probably total £32 - £35.

Is this a better spec than the Ideapad posted yesterday from John Lewis, eBuyer and a few others at £99.99 (i know that was more of a netbook form factor)

YEP!, this one is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better in many different way's! (depending on your own needs/interpretation?). :-)
Your link shows: Intel® Atom™ Z3735F Quad-Core, 2GB RAM, and only 32GB Internal Memory, my Deal is better, as it's: Intel Cherry Trail X5 Z8350 64bit Quad Core 1.44GHz, 4GB RAM, and 64GB of Internal Memory too.
Yes you Lenovo link is 11.6 inch, but the CHUWI is rather 10.8 inches instead (so not a great deal in it here too really?). :-)
My Deal is Dual-Boot Device too, meaning it Boots into BOTH Windows 10, and Remix OS (eg. Android OS), whereas your Deal link Boots-Up into Windows 10 ONLY, lol.
Your's for the 11.6 Inches says its only: LED-backlit HD display (1366 x 768), and mine for the 10.8 Inches states: IPS Touch Screen with 1920 x 1280 Resolution.
The only thing your link has over mine is a built-in keyboard!, whereas with my link, the keyboard is introduced seperately into this giant Tablet's form-factor.
It's a case of Horses for Courses really?, the choice is up to you ..... :-)
