Cardhu Gold Reserve Single Malt (70cl) (ABV 40%) was £42.00 now £25.00
A much-loved single malt, Cardhu is an easygoing, charming Speysider, with clean, crisp oak and sweet malt evoking flavours of honeyed flapjacks and home-made caramel squares, this is one of the sweet-toothed among you.
While it's not often seen here in the UK, Cardhu is the biggest selling single malt whisky in Spain, with its soft, sweet character the perfect match for the warm climate. Cardhu 12 is the perfect drink for the summer - it's great on its own, but why not try it with a block of ice, or served along with a splash of water, mizuwari style.
Cardhu Gold Reserve is rich and mellow, with warm notes of baked apple and toffee Our Master Blender has carefully selected casks to create a mouth-wateringly sweet malt whisky with a quietly spicy finish
Appearance: Rich amber, in sunlight becoming antique gold.
Aroma: Entrancingly sweet and floral, with fresh citrus and warm notes of baked apple.
Palate: Smooth-textured, with the initial sweetness cut by crisp orange zest.
Finish: Drying, spicy finish.
Manufacturer
Cardhu Distillery,
Scotland.

Hot, some malt whiskys are always on offer - this one isn't one of them, £40+ to £25 is better than usual offer too.

No thanks, it's an overpriced NAS whisky. Currently loads of better quality 10-12 year old whiskies available at this price.

It's nice stuff, for £25 it's worth giving a try.

I bought a bottle for this price this time last year at Tesco, I thought it was very bland, albeit smooth. Depends what you like. I think Highland Park 12 is one of the best buys at £25.

I know nothing about whisky and bought this for my dad's birthday. Reading the comments, I now feel a little disappointed that I veered from the usual Glenfiddich I buy him. Oh well, I hope he still likes it. :-(
