multiplayer is ridiculously hard...or at least the standard is ridiculously hard! MW2 and 3 I used to get top 3 or top most games...now I struggle to get above even K/D ratio

I tried contacting Xbox support, they told me this is a known issue, tried taking me through various options, found the spaceland and terminal pack if you go to manage games on infinite warfare, installed it, signed out, rebooted console etc and it's still not there :disappointed:

Yes, same here, entered the code which it accepted but no terminal map to be found anywhere to select. Can't re-enter as say the code has been redeemed. Very annoying..

Oh for sure. Its still a license to print money though and COD has a few years of iterations in it yet. Basically COD4 was their high water mark and then it was just minor changes to the formula ever since. The yearly iteration doesn't exactly help keep it fresh.
Military shooters have been done to death. It's like Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament, the pinnacle of arena shooters but people moved on. Everyone will be playing hero shooters soon enough.

Franchises don't die over night. Remember Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk games? They used to be big franchises that sold millions as well until Activision kept milking and making worser games and now any time they try making a new game from those two franchises they instantly bomb as they aren't relevant anymore. Same thing will happen to COD.

Thats probably the windows stores servers. There was no cross play with steam! Anyway It's a console shooter built and balanced for controller play the PC market has always been relatively tiny for COD. Sure it sold 48% less than Black Ops 3 but it's revenue for those sales was much greater so total revenue was only down 25%. They are wisely aiming for more money from their die hard fans rather than trying to maintain their incredibly high market share.

COD is still the king of console shooters in terms of numbers and revenue. As someone mentioned above the only title with a bigger launch this year was FIFA despite the critical praise for Battlefield 1 and the double stacking with the Titanfall 2 release so close together. It will have usual rush of players at launch and hardly anyone after a year it's by design and many people love it that way.

The market has changed, IW is poor, but sales have been in decline from BO2 and the console split. But to say they are turning the PC servers off is nonsense.

Doesn't mean anything. Call of Duty being the top seller every year is guaranteed. Its Call of Duty so obviously it will sell but Infinite Warfare is a bomb. Its gone from a massive franchise to just another shooter just like Halo has become. In press releases they will make it seem like a success but internally the game is a massive failure. They had to remaster COD 4 to get people to buy this turd and this game wasn't cheap to make especially with campaign being Mass effect and three years of development as well as damaging the COD brand with the millions of dislikes to even pro COD players hating on the game.

Will be a tenner soon enough. This game has bombed big time. They have turned servers off on the pc because no one is playing it. And i don't know anyone who has actually bought it.

Cold terrible cod and cod4 feels nothing like the original since it was rebuilt on aw's engine

Probally put weeks if not months into most call of dutys up into the last which was any good mw2. since then probally havnt put a day into all the others put together.

Has anyone completed the remaster yet? and is mile high club veteran as hard as it was in original(i hope so). think only 4% of all cod4 players ever managed to finish it.

Is it a bomb compared to other games? No but is it a bomb compared to its previous years sales? Yes its a bomb. Black ops 2 and MW3 sold almost 2 million alone in the UK first week while Infinite Warfare just barely passes 300K in UK first week. Funny thing is if it wasn't for the remaster it would have bombed even harder.

This game is the 2nd largest launch of the year behind Fifa. It 'bombed' only by its own impossibly high standards.

Better off buying Titanfall 2 if you need a twitch shooter and if you need zombies Killing Floor 2 is far superior in many ways compared to cod zombied

Worth buying to get the Terminal map as this is a day zero game - or hold off for black Friday?

Three reasons: 1. The standard is so much higher now, Call of Duty has grown year on year and now there are professional players and experienced players alike, I rarely come across players that are beginners or don't have a clue, I.E cannon fodder.
2. The maps on older games were far simpler. I knew the maps so well you could either camp or choose an area where you could pick players off, now you shoot someone and before you know it a player as seen you radar signature, come up behind you and shoots you from one of multiple possible directions.
3. Getting older! it's been like 7 years or something since MW2? The fact is there are young teenagers with lots of time on there hands joining all the time...and like it or not there hand eye co-ordination is likely to be slightly quicker

​plays the same for me. i think its just needing to relearn the map and not play as run and gun because even in cod4 run and gun was near enough suicide unless you were host with good reaction times

muggins activision just need to release MWR in the stores for £20-30. i dont see them doing it though because its the only thing saving IW sales.

I've bought every COD game since MW2 , the pay to win aspect starting niggling in BO3, but I let it go because it was still a good game. I played the beta of IW and it just felt crap.
