Rubbish. There's hardly any 4k content. 99% of what you're watching will be in 1080p or less. Unless you have two seating positions for being close for 4k and further back for 1080p. And who the hell does that?

Yeah, bush used to be crap. It was made in the same factory as Alba/Goodmans.
Nowadays the stuff Argos sell is just licensed to use the name. This applies to anything Argos sell by Bush, Goodmans, Wharfedale (who do actually make their own speakers, but nothing Argos sells). It's a bit of a con, but if you do your research some of the stuff isn't half bad.

Actually, it's a Vestel. They have pretty good reviews.
Yes they're not £2k samsungs, but if you don't mind not having a "bush" badge rather than a "Samsung" one, it'll hold it's own against tvs around the £500-600 mark.

Would never buy a bush TV again, I've had 2 and both kept getting stuck in standby mode, took weeks to resolve, something silly like switching the plug off at the mains can put it into standby mode, Argos were absolutely no help, so both TVs binned and different make bought.

Bush TV ...:disappointed:
Not my cup of tea ....okay ??
You can read below.
Folks, hot voters, you realise the last-year version of this TV was £199 on Black Friday in 2015 at Tesco....
This is not a cheap deal.
A year has past and you are voting it hot at £70 MORE than last year....
Nujol to Nujol
20 Nov 16#57
And just to highlight - Tesco now have the same TV announced as £199 for Black Friday. As I said, insane that this was getting heat at £269. Hopefully time left to cancel your orders Folks and get the same item for £70 cheaper. 43" £149 also.

I bought mine only at 50 quid more on ebay. You will be surprised if you carefully look. 1080p is already finished. Dealers are desperately trying to get rid of 1080p so there are so many bargains. If you look for second hand you can even find 1080p for free or very little money as most people are upgrading to 4k now.

19 Nov 16#55
So, after all of your comments, your amazing 4k TV is a 200 quidder! Haha, classic.
p.s. I don't know why you mention HDR, because you definitely don't have that!

The price seems low but with these brands that inevitably go wrong I always think; why not just pay more and get a decent brand that will last? Sure this seems cheap but if it knackers up 2 years down the line and you end up laying out another 270 then it's not much money saved in the first instance is it?

why does the 49inch have all the BBC iPlayer, the ITV hub, All 4 and Demand 5... but the 55inch doesn't?
simes to iz123456789
19 Nov 16#48
Because its a newer model with better software built in. No doubt there will be other differences too.
I think the older models used a single core processor, so this dual core should be much faster through the menu system and running the smart features.

You could always buy one of the ROKU streaming sticks that are on one of the other deals, around £20, to give you all the smart features. Plus the built in ones are never that good and rarely get updated.

Can't understand the heat for this. It's a Vestel. Vestel 50" approx. FHD TV's are this price normally, check any of your local supermarkets that have a TV section. The Vestel 50" UHD TV's are normally £300 so...... This is not a good deal folks.....

I have a NAS running Nas4free. Will this let me stream videos from that to this TV like I can do with my SMART LG TV? The manual for this references having to use some Nero software for the streaming to work. I can't figure out if the software is just a DLNA server which I have in the NAS already.

I bought 4k tv of similar size at similar price in a bargain sale . I am not going back to 1080p at any cost. In this age of 4k and Hdr, buying 1080p TV is a waste of money. 1080p gives pixellation as the pixels are very very big in big screen TV. Better buy 4k at little more than old 1080p TVs which the retailers are desperately trying to get rid off by decreasing prices.

In my honest opinion, I'm all for technology and progress but this whole constant TV upgrade is ridiculous.

I got this telly delivered last Saturday as a replacement for the smaller (43") 4K model which took the knock after 9 months. The picture's fine, though nothing special - although I must say I think I've been spoiled by the 4K one which was spectacularly good. The sound's OK, but nothing more. I have the sound through my music system anyway so it's no biggy for me. The Freeview Play's a good feature. If you're after a decent, good value for money big screen telly then I reckon this fits the bill. Just don't expect the world (or 4K).
