My talktalk deal is expiring so thought I'd look at what is available. Found this with BT - Unlimited Broadband and Weekend calls for £24.99/month (or less if you pay line rental upfront at £205.08 for 12 months). They will give you £100 Mastercard (which you have to claim for I believe). You can also an additional £100 through Quidco so total cost is £87 for 12 months. Can't see a better deal available at the moment.
I also have BT mobile contract which will reduce by £5/month so really can't complain.

the prices seem cheaper if you go through quidco
i've just ordered:
BT Infinity 1 (the 50mb fibre line with unlimited usage) + weekend calls for £30/month
Sim card with 4gb data for £10/month
and i get £100 quidco, £150 mastercard and £60 amazon voucher
the amazon voucher is part of the sim card deal. above includes line rental. seems almost too cheap

It's now specified that both won't be paid:
Cashback users are not eligible for rewards, vouchers or other incentives offered on the retailer site
Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discounts

Quidco terms say; "Cashback users are not eligible for rewards, vouchers or other incentives offered on the retailer site"
So it may track but I doubt it'll be paid.
Topcashback actually mentions the BT reward card so i'd expect them to honour it as well as the cashback. Only thing is I am seeing a £75 reward card from Bt going through TCB for the basic ADSL package.

You have to claim the prepaid card after your service goes live. you have 3 months from activation to claim and 12 months in which to spend the funds. mine came without incident a week after I claimed on the website and my cash back is also tracked and due to pay in november. so as long as you follow the instructions I don't see how they scam you out of the cards.

Was connected yesterday after ordering Infinity 1 and line rental via TCB mid October. Successfully claimed £150 PP MasterCard just now (30 days delivery), and TCB tracked successfully at £105. The deal: £40 up front, £29.99 pm line rental, £150 MC, £105 TCB.

Have to be honest: I couldn't decide whether it was worth renewing for 2 years at a fixed £37.49 / month, or cancelling the lot and reordering afresh (wife) to get the £150 Mastercard + £99.75 TCB.
In the end, the savings far outweighed the 'freebies':
£384.00 saved by renewing for 2 years (2 x £192.00)
vs.
£249.75 (BT Reward Mastercard + TCB)
Also, that is £384.00 of my cash. Not £150 on a Mastercard I have to spend. Point being: the incentives offered by BT are nowhere near as generous as arguing down the price for a renewal over the phone.
Yes, it's an improvement. Is it worth £50? No ...

Great price but their customer service is really, really poor. They still rely on Indian call centres who are from no fault of their own, poorly trained and don't understand English very well. Check out online reviews etc, in the end it's not worth the hassle.

Don't waste your time ... the cashback is never guaranteed and BT cashback via TCB is payable in 7 weeks.
Ditto, the Mastercard BT are offering will be delivered within 90 days of activation. You hope.
I was paying £53.49 per month / £641.88 per year for Infinity 2 and weekend calls.
Now I'm paying £37.49 per month / £449.88 per year for EXACTLY the same package.
Yes, £16.00 per month / £192.00 per year less.
How? Just call BT and tell them you are moving to Vodafone because of the new 'No line rental' deal.
They will call you back within 48 hours to plead with you to stay ... :sunglasses:

9.99 HUB DELIVERY CHARGE
SO ADD THE 3 TOGETHER YOU PAY 265.07 UPFRONT COST. THEN 9.50 P/M. THATS 114.00 A YEAR.

Anyone know about Origin Broadband. Hearing mixed things. Some suggestion that they used to be much better than now but that the loss of Digital region, impacted them, though I guess that would just apply to Fibre broadband.
There line rental saver deal is 172.49 upfront. Free broadband -12 month contract. Equivalent 14.37 a month and no faffing with cards and cashback. Better deals if you want to extend to 24 months but I'm not that confident.
Also possible cashback available at topcashback and quidco, at 36.75 and 35.00 rspectively.
No download limits, no Fair Usage Policy, no blocked websites, and no traffic shaping.
Free router, if needed, and no fees to send it and no set up fees, unless new line needed.
Thanks for this, im going to give them a try, fed up of BT mucking up my order at confirmation page and still charging me.

You are local loop unbundled and your line is with TalkTalk. They have to bring it back to the BT network.
Yes, TalkTalk has become so expensive. They are going to lose so many customers.
It is cheaper to get 2 BT lines one Fibre and one ASDL than get TalkTalk with Quidco and Mastercard deals.

thanks for posting - I shared the BT Infinity 1 deal with SKY (my current ISP) and they did their unlimited fibre for £27 including line rental, no installation fee too, had to pay for the delivery of the new hub. BT (including installation and upfront line rental) with quidco was working out at £23 or £30 with just the mastercard. This way no hassle of waiting for cashback or quidco.

Got £200 Cashback on BT plus the £100 card a few weeks ago plus unlimited 55mbps fibre for £10 a month flipping amazing deal even after I flipped plusnet off early & paid the penalty.
Not impressed with plusnet at all, they cap your upload to 2mbps instead of 10mbps without telling you, if you Google it you can find out but guessing it's hidden in the small print somewhere but at least it's the proper 10mbps with BT.
Plus I can sell the home hub 6 & you view boxes they sent that I don't need, winner lol

No other good deal around the time when I renewed the contract. I mean the retention deal was not too bad only if they offer you free BT sports and HD and same terms as the broadband. The BT sports and HD has shorted terms than the broadband. In my case, broadband term is on two year, BT sports is on three months. They said you can call up to 'try' to get them for free when the BT sports deal expire.
After three months, BT refused to give them for free or you have to pay for them. As a result this retention deal became very poor because they don't put thing for the same contract term. Cunning tactics to trap you for a long brandband deal.
eggwich
1 Nov 16#25
I advised you not to use BT, despite being very attractive on the first year, after that they rip you off.
I just renewed the broadband bundle including BT sports and HD 3 months ago. I was bounded a two year broadband contract, they tried to keep you by offering HD channel and TV channel for free for a few months. You could 'try' to call up to renew the TV for free. They refuse to give it which is the reality, forcing you to pay more. These are their cunning strategies to rip you off.
In short, they are good to new customer only. Even though you jump to new company, you have to pay installation charge for that. Take plunset and sky if you can though their broadband are not as fast as the BT broadband.
Common Sense to eggwich

What stops you leaving after the 12 month contract? Don't many people just find a new deal if the retention deal is poor?
