I've just gone to order a BT Mobile SIM only deal for my dad who doesn't need data and until Monday evening (21st November 2016), BT are offering their starter SIM at £5 per month which includes Unlimited calls and Unlimited texts and 500mb of data. The best bit is that going through Quidco, they're offering £49.50 cashback on all Sim Only deals plus the £30 Amazon Gift card BT are giving away.
In effect you will make a profit of £19.50 as worked out below:
Quidco cashback £49.50
+
Amazon Gift card £30
-
BT Mobile Sim annual cost £60
= £19.50 profit
This deal will not suit everyone so please hold the 'It is only 500mb of data' comments. This deal is ideal for my elderly father who does not use a smartphone and may help someone else. Good luck.
It's 4G

Same here - got the Amazon gift card, the BT broadband quidco and the BT mobile quidco, all now paid.
Very strange, but I'm not complaining - £30 + £38.50 + £49.50 = £118 cash back on a £60 SIM which was already a good deal, and I got three of them..!!

Today the £49.50 cashback has been confirmed and is now payable. The funny thing is though, £35 cashback has also been rewarded for BT broadband which has also been confirmed and payable. I never even took out BT broadband?? How strange!!!

Same here. The £49.50 is still tracked but the £38.50 is payable.
Edit: went on live chat to ask them to refund the premium (didn't want it) and also asked them how long it would take for the £49.50 to be paid back. Live chat person made it payable straight off - so now I've got £88 payable from BT....

My quidco has gone to payable as £38? not £49.50 - did everyone track as BT Mobile or BT Broadband?

Hi! I had exactly the same happen. Initially nothing tracked at all, so I raised a claim.
Then "BT Broadband" tracked at £35, and this was actually fully paid out a couple of days ago! Yay!
Meanwhile the claim I made (to "BT Mobile", for £49.50) was also marked as "successful" in late January. I doubt this one will be paid out though, since they've already paid out the £35. Apparently the cashback amount dropped shortly after we all claimed this deal so I think they've gone with the £35 rather than the £49.50 cashback amount.
Still a great deal and still a net profit, just weird that the spontaneously tracked cashback was via "BT Broadband" and the manual claim was via "BT mobile", same as you.
My £30 amazon gift cards just arrived this morning
Loving the "free" BT mobile service. Wifi everywhere with BT. Phone signal better than ever! Our home broadband and phone line is rubbish due to old wires (longstanding) but they're onto it now, I think. An engineer actually listened to me and went outside to look at the phone wires/pole for the first time ever last week.
This is a very, very nice deal which has made me very happy!

Hi there
I suspect we are all in a similar position, my Quidco status shows as follows;
21 Nov 16 BT Mobile £1.00 £49.50 2471150 Sent to retailer
Status update 19 Dec 16
I claimed the Amazon voucher on 14.12.16 via BT (thanks to advice on this thread) and apparently this takes up to 45 days.
It’s odd that a lot of people are mentioning £35 cashback.
As long as we keep in touch and persist hopefully we will eventually get what has been offered.
Cheers, Happy New Year to all.

Hey guys/girls,
anyone else had any luck with this deal ie Amazon voucher, quidco cashback?
I submitted my Amazon voucher claim 26th Nov which I'm aware should be delivered within 45 days.
Regarding quidco, my cashback didn't track initially so I submitted a missing cashback claim. Since submitting the claim it shows BT mobile "being processed" with correct cashback amount showing but strangely there's also a BT broadband cashback claim showing on my account for £35 which has tracked but I didn't order a BT broadband product??? Anyone else had this happen?
Anyway good luck to everyone else has gone for the BT mobile £5 SIM and are still awaiting their Amazon voucher/quidco cashback.
Happy New Year!!!

I was also quite surprised to see the billing had begun so quickly, but it encouraged me to do the swap over from the old contract sooner rather than later.

20 Dec 16#123
Fair enough, may be being naive. Thought as BT customers would already have a billing arrangement in place for Broadband etc, activation and payment would have been triggered by the customer. I can understand if a new D/D is being set up with a new provider. Will know next time.

You are right about it being profitable, but you have misunderstood the post. It is alerting people to the fact that BT will start charging immediately, not when you activate. Some people will have bought these to activate at the end of an existing contract, or Christmas etc.

16 Dec 16#118
@ Saturn - this deal makes you a profit....you put money in your wallet and have free calls and texts and (some) data for a year..

Saturn
16 Dec 16#117
Just to point out something that I have come across. People may be aware of this, but BT will start charging you for this the day after they send the Sim out to you. I had purchased two which I had planned to provide along with phones for Christmas. Was very surprised to see that BT had begun charging the monthly fee for both in mid-November. Had a long conversation with BT before they reluctantly refunded charges along with 'exit penalties' that they said they were entitled to charge.
I have found the wording below amongst all the T&C's, but I do think it is sharp practice for a large UK company. In my opinion, charging should commence when the customer activates the Sim. I believe that is the point at which a contract is agreed, not merely the act of ordering a Sim. I don't recall this as normal business practice with other companies previously. Just a heads up in case others have chosen not to activate immediately - check your bill if a BT customer. What if a customer doesn't receive the Sim due to a delivery issue? The wording I have now found having become aware of this issues is as follows;
We'll start charging you for BT Mobile on the day we switch on your service (usually one working day after we send your SIM) or on the day you start using the service, whichever happens first. This won't change even if you rearrange your delivery date to a later one.

TalkTalk offers also offered deals in the past with profit after Qudico, if you are a TalkTalk customer. Last year I got 1000 mins, unlimited texts and 3GB data for a profit.
Just buy multiple sim cards and get a dual sim phone if minutes are not enough. I would never use 1000 minutes.
Other cashback deals offer free sim deals.
If Quidco pays and Amazon voucher comes through, this is great deal. It is only a "no-brainer" if you stay with BT for the duration of the mobile deal. I have 2 lines and internet connections and just joined BT and ordered sims so will cancel everything in 11 months and move to another supplier with their new customer deals. After 12 months BT is expensive. So this sim deal is not a no-brainer unless you intend to stay with BT.
With TalkTalk, they do not increase your sim price if you leave.

Bad reception earlier hence late reply......
I am not currently a BT customer, so yearly cost is £120 before any gift cards or cashback.
A couple of people have posted cashback only tracked at £30.
For £10 per month I am getting 1GB per month with O2 and last month they doubled it up free, so 2GB for £10, compared to this 500mb of data.
Also factor in that O2 don't want a contract, and so I can stop anytime I want, neither do O2 need to pry into my credit history or anything else, and with no contract, there's no forgetting that the money comes out of your bank and leads to overdrawn charges and so on, I just go into one of hundreds of shops and top up using cash.
This might be a great deal for many people, but I had a valid reason (for me) for asking if there would be a better deal around xmas (post 13), and didn't want to give my current circumstances and life story to explain why.
When I feel the time is right and the deal seems best suited to me, then I will indeed take out a contract with BT in order to use the unlimited wifi (I can get it at work but not at home), but until then I will continue to use cash for monthly payg, and ask questions on deals like this, never mind people keep telling me it's the best thing since sliced bread.

yes you will IF you order one at a time and clear cookies then log back in thru Quidco / TCB each time. Less likely to get full whack each time if you order them all at once. It's only a fiver for BT phone and broadband customers though so not a great deal for everyone else and BT broadband customers are likely paying over the odds for their line rental and broadband anyway. Could be okay for someone trying to improve their credit rating whilst not spending much but otherwise it's not going to be suitable for many people as have to be on BT and not interested in data use. £10 monthly actual price and most likely the cash back will require chargeable calls to be made each month.

Did your sale track? Mine still has not tracked by BT.

doubt BT will pay you using quidco/TCB as you are getting the amzon voucher.

So how do you not get the Amazon voucher in order to get Quidco? Exactly.

Current trend. Get paid to use a service or product, inevitably followed up 'shall I hang on for a better deal'.

If I did this for 4 separate Sims, would I get the cash back and vouchers? As someone on quidco are saying But not recognising Quidco?

Will this work if you already have one BT mobile sim. I picked up a similar deal last year but my contract is nearly up on infinity etc.

Can anyone confirm if you buy this 3 times do you get 3 x quidco / vouchers ?

The question is...... will there be a better deal around Christmas ?
This or similar seems to be available every few weeks, so can any of you remember if there was an amazingly better deal last festive season ?
I only want BT for it's free use of the wifi/fon network, so the cheaper the better in that respect - I've got O2 mobile now and use tethering when stuck, but the easiest thing is for unlimited wifi when not at home (for my purposes, as not everyone has the same requirements).

You're getting this for £19.50 profit, what more do you expect as a better offer?!

Good deal if you are with BT otherwise it is £10 a month.
Opening post
In effect you will make a profit of £19.50 as worked out below:
Quidco cashback £49.50
+
Amazon Gift card £30
-
BT Mobile Sim annual cost £60
= £19.50 profit
This deal will not suit everyone so please hold the 'It is only 500mb of data' comments. This deal is ideal for my elderly father who does not use a smartphone and may help someone else. Good luck.
It's 4G

Very strange, but I'm not complaining - £30 + £38.50 + £49.50 = £118 cash back on a £60 SIM which was already a good deal, and I got three of them..!!
:-))

Edit: went on live chat to ask them to refund the premium (didn't want it) and also asked them how long it would take for the £49.50 to be paid back. Live chat person made it payable straight off - so now I've got £88 payable from BT....
Successful claim here too for £49.50. Now waiting to receive the cashback.
Already received the Amazon cards weeks ago.
I suspect we are all in a similar position, my Quidco status shows as follows;
Cheers, Happy New Year to all.
anyone else had any luck with this deal ie Amazon voucher, quidco cashback?
You asked for a refund....?
I have found the wording below amongst all the T&C's, but I do think it is sharp practice for a large UK company. In my opinion, charging should commence when the customer activates the Sim. I believe that is the point at which a contract is agreed, not merely the act of ordering a Sim. I don't recall this as normal business practice with other companies previously. Just a heads up in case others have chosen not to activate immediately - check your bill if a BT customer. What if a customer doesn't receive the Sim due to a delivery issue? The wording I have now found having become aware of this issues is as follows;
We'll start charging you for BT Mobile on the day we switch on your service (usually one working day after we send your SIM) or on the day you start using the service, whichever happens first. This won't change even if you rearrange your delivery date to a later one.
Strangely my wife's tracked straight away.
Just remembered to claim the Amazon vouchers yesterday but that takes upto 45 days to arrive.
https://www.vouchers.bt.com/offer/mobileclaim
eta - tracked a few days after I raised a claim..
How do we get the amazon voucher?
Still happy with that assuming the £30 BT amazon card works also! Still a profit and three free phones for a year!

My cashback trracked this week but at £35 and not £49.50 should I contact them?
Amazon down to £20.
Minutes down to 200.
Yet, BT claim it is a Black Friday deal!
I assume many people move supplier after 1 year as prices increase.
Is receiving the £30 voucher the same as when requesting a prepaid mastercard from them? Wait a couple of months and then go through the link?
Thanks

SIM card arrived today and works fine
Was hoping to get TCB on offer similar to this:
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/105-88-after-cashback-for-1-years-unlimited-adsl-broadband-line-rental-185-88-plusnet-2530640
No way i can see of finding out why but i think it was cos i got £75 cheque cashback. Will be keener to switch as soon as im out of contract! ;-)
With TalkTalk, they do not increase your sim price if you leave.
p.s. MB is megabytes and Mb is megabits. mb?? Just sayin...
I'm now paying £12.05 a month to get
unlimited minutes,unlimited texts,500mb data
landline line rental, unlimited fibre optic broadband,BT sport
for those wondering, I've never had a problem getting cashback + bonuses offered by BT, the broadband came with £100 mastercard and £155 TCB cashback and went through no problem, so don't let it put you off.
Or does everything have to be in my name?
Yes you may be paying over the odd's, but if you can get someone else to help you out too, then ..... lool.
Thanx for that, and thanx OP too. :-)
