That motherboard will take 32Gb of memory. So he takes 2 x 2Gb out and uses these instead.

Now he's stuck with 8Gb when he could have had 20Gb

so when 1 of my PCs (Crucial scan) says max 8GB supported (by manufacturer/ motherboard) - you reckon I can try 16GB? :smiley:
