I LOVE mine!! The only time it would potentially pull your hair is if you put a too big section of hair in but even then it stops and beeps to tell you.

I've been told that even these genuine ones trap the hair and pull it out - can anyone offer some reviews please?

I've just got one and I love it, surprisingly easy to use. make sure hair is together when you slide it in curler, if u have strays I do find it pulls but yes it does stop and bleep to tell you. This is not suitable for hair longer than chest level it says.

1st time I used it on my daughter's hair it got stuck. Because I used it too close to her head. Took ages to get the hair out as it was wrapped around the chamber
