Was looking for a cheap hard drive on eBay and stumbled upon this. Seems a potential misprice or early Black Friday deal as the Currys site is at £379. No use to me sadly but seems a very good price for a GTX 1070 from a decent manufacturer so hope it helps someone.

shame its a blower cooler, from experience I'd rather pay the extra to get a third party one but still a good price if you need a blower style one. heat

People bashing blowers outright obviously never ran an open air cooler in an ITX build!

Decent price for a 1070 I think. 1070's have been around £350 at best before iirc.

Thats a decent price. Blower though.... i do have a BitFenix Prodigy small factor case with a 970 G1 so this should be decent. Would prefer a better cooler though.

Good price for someone looking for a 1070 with a small case that is prone to overheating.

I think this would appeal to watercooling modders. I still don't understand why gpus cost so much for watercooled versions.

Checked YouTube and fan is quite loud on this. i already think my G1 970 is too loud at idle (even after custom flash mod). I would prefer getting one with the 0db fan stops when not in use.... asus strix is one i believe. At end of the day, my pc is on most of the day but not for playing games and it is annoying you can hear the fan a little. I guess i am like that as i had an asus dcu2 670 before and that was silent. Rest of my pc is silent, so a shame. However 970 is a beast and you can't hear it when playing games with a headset. £340 is tempting i cant lie.

Download EVGA precision X or any other companies overcloclibg utility and just set a fan curve that is 0 at low temps for this card and your 970

Not that great a price given it's a blower.

Does the 1070 really produce that much heat? it's can't be worse than the AMD cards lol

This would go greatly with my mini-itx build, which specifically needs blower style cards, cheers!

So everyone's aware, I asked Currys if this came with a code for Watch Dogs 2 (per the current nVidia promotion) and they confirmed it does not.

Thanks so much for posting this. This card is the best priced 1070 I've seen (and nobody here has posted anything cheaper that I can see) and it looks so much slicker than the one I've just configured in my new pc, but at *least* I'm getting WD2!

Grabbed a Amazon France warehouse like new deal in original packaging (i hope!) for £175. Reference card from Sapphire only but still, a saving is a saving

Yh, thats a nice saving there, I wonder how long they take to arrive, at the same time I wish they had some good 1440p freesync monitors going for under £200.

I'm hoping for the same but I'll be happy with a cheap Full HD 23 or 24 inch monitor to replace my aging Dell ST2320. Freesync would be a bonus.
As to the delivery time, I ordered on 21 Nov evening. And the order status is that delivery is expected on 24/25 Nov.

Gigabyte G1 GTX 970 default flash does not allow below 35% fan speed..... i had to flash the bios with a lower RPM that was bearable. If anyone else has a G1 970, they will know what I am talking about. I think i took it down from 1350RPM to 1100RPM for idle. Any lower and you get freezing (thus GPU is getting too hot).

23 Nov 161#24
Oh I see, didnt realise the G1 couldn't go lower without flashing the bios my bad. Surprised it can't idol the fan while not in heavy use.

ASUS support is lame when you start getting issues.
I have the MSI 4G gaming GTX 970 and its a really good card. Have had it for nearly 2 years now. Still quiet (Fan is at 0, temp 29C) and even with the fan, I barely hear it. My case fans are louder than the card.

My BitFenix Prodigy build is about 5 years old and it had Asus m-itx montherboard and Asus 670 DCU2 and i had no issues luckily. I would hate to deal with any RMA - let alone Asus'.
I really want a 1070/1080 to go with a new 34 inch ultrawide X34a / PG348Q. I dont really want this one though.... if any one else sees any good deals, reply here too.... looks like we are all 970 owners and looking through the shop window..... (someone fetch me a brick)...

I'm not really looking to upgrade. My card is chugging along nicely and I probably won't be upgrading for a couple years hopefully. I can still max out everything on my 1080p monitors. My next pc I build will have to be a beast though...

grab the gtx 1080 for 3440 x 1440
the 1070 will struggle, i've had both 1070 and 1080 and even the 980 ti did a better job on 3440 x 1440 than the 1070

24 Nov 161#32
If price isnt an issue than go for it, but the 1080 is only 20% stronger than a 1070 for like 35% more expensive. Just OC the 1070, it will manage, the thing gets like 90fps on battlefield 1 1440p.

might aswell SLI 1070s instead of single 1080 at this price though :P

Yh ikr, lool just did the maths thats £680 for a crossifire setup, only £100 more than a 1080. Good if you have a 144hz 1440p monitor, or game at 4k and want 60 fps.

So what is the review guys? Genuinely interested if this is loud and over clocks well? I assume you are not using 1080p? How are the fps in 2k and 4k? Worth the money?

Isnt that dell a full HD 1080p monitor?[/quote]Whoops - forgot about this reply - yes, it is, but the drivers aren't playing nicely with Windows 10.
Any replacement I get needs to be really cheap or run at 2k resolution since my monitor is still working fine
