That is absolutey tragic- considering how the Yanks bought Terry's of York (a chocolate company, older than the USA itself) ran it into the ground, then sacked the workers, closed the factory and shifted production to Eastern Europe.

It seems the people of York have short memories, and would sell their own mothers for 50p. If you live in York, and have bought this chocolate (or any Terrys chocolate in the last 10 years), then frankly, you are worse than sewer rats.

The only thing Quaker regards Kraft/Cadbury's nowadays is Kraft Senior Management should be doing Porridge for what they have done to Cadburys' Chocolate. Smaller too. These were 175g, now 157g.

Associated Diaries .... did they publish the Dairy Diary for Associated Dairies?
splender
20 Nov 16 #91
CHOC gets any smaller in size and in number of jobs, it will become Sackedsomeone (satsuma).
.
Good price though at Asda, they were once Associated Diaries , a cooperative that cared for its Workers?! They too were sold to Walmart.
.
The great British sell offs and out, still jobs though as we service each other using public sector borrowing, PFI, treasury bonds and quantitative easing.

I hope you take this stance with EVERY product sold on the market and on HUKD
i.e Every company that has made people redundant/moved locations you never buy their products anymore?
If you live in the UK you will do extremelywell to not buy anything that is now imported instead of made here!!

It's really sad that these companies shift production from the UK to abroad for cost but i guess this can be seen as a sad fact of the way things are today. This isn't an excuse, however, for the appalling drop in quality of our famous British chocolate products. Terrys used to be a byword for class and quality. Now it's just a laughing stock of the world.

I wouldn't eat this sh*t if it was a penny, it's totally vile! If British people had any loyalty and patriotism they would boycott this crap and put the companies out of business, but it seems the obese bargain hunting nation we've become will happily put aside loyalties in favour of a cheap 50p fix of sugary sh*te.

The war veterans who sacrificed their lives for us in two world wars will be proud I'm sure!

SilkySean
19 Nov 16 #69
Scoffing one now. I didn't realise they've made the segments smaller!!! What a rip off. I'm getting sick of these companies taking shortcuts just to increase their annual profit figures. Toblerone has smaller triangles, tins of quality street etc are getting lighter, dairy milk has rounded edges, wagon wheels/mars bars are smaller and now I find my favourite xmas treat is 10% smaller!!! What is the world coming to?!
