Your not wrong they don't even get paid per hour they get paid per batch of parcels, we had bad snow and I said why did you risk coming to my house and he said he won't get paid if it's not delivered today. The self employed sure must suck

Is this about Amazon Logistics? Where they don't bother to deliver at all, and if they do they **** on the parcel first?

I love it when they kick the thing up the drive, man, I think that's really cool.

It's not like you wanted what you ordered at all, you're just so cool with da attijude, mon.

You aren't honestly expecting Amazon to give a toss, are you? The site sells bootlegs, and also uploads those bootlegs to its servers as part of it's "AutoRip" feature - an act which is also illegal. And it's no use trying to blame the sellers as it clearly states said bootlegs are "sold and fulfilled by Amazon". There is no report function, Amazon ignore anyone trying to point out they're breaking the law. I've reported all the Prince bootlegs I found to F.A.C.T. who said they will also forward the links on to the BMI.
But take comfort in the adage "the bigger they are the harder they fall".
AStonedRaichu
26 Nov 16 #29
Lol sorry basically Amazon pantry is a pantry service where you can buy canned goods / cereal etc.. stuff that belongs in a pantry.

Pantry delivery is not part of Amazon prime, the delivery costs 2.99 for your first box and 99p per box after.
simonallsopp1
26 Nov 16 #30
Thank you.

So you get free stuff that you then have to pay for shipping? Even though withPrime you get free shipping? Sounds bizarre.

I looked into Prime on the Amazon website a few months ago, to see what you get for your money but gave up. Want enough info for me to make a decision. I'm still not sure what you get in terms of music streaming and downloads.

That's life as a parcel delivey driver. Amazon don't employ them, just like they don't employ the Post Office drivers who leave a card but don't knock.

I've used pantry credit that I've collected over time in one shop. I buy four promotional items that I could make use of and get free delivery as a result. The other items I buy are useful and not too different from supermarket prices. Look at threads on here about merging credits for one order.
X50pence777
26 Nov 16 #46
its credit for 'pantry', which is kind of like subscribe and save, the idea is that you fill up a box of everyday items like shower gel/food etc which is delivered to your door... basically its like online shopping at tesco.... what i dont understand is from the items i have looked at its more expensive than the supermarkets and they charge £3 for delivery....combineing that with the fact that you cant stack credit makes the credit useless...
carltonbp
26 Nov 16 1 #47
I wasn't paying attention last night when I bought something. I now have £3 pantry credit. Whoopdedoo. I should have selected next day. I'm amazed pantry is still going as it is, it's seems more expensive (yes a few cheaper items but overall it's poor, the selection isn't as good, there's the delivery charge and you have to fit things in a box. Then you have Ocado, Tesco and Sains doing cheap delivery passes which isn't much simpler.

Cheers! well the lightning deals for me have been pretty poor, i bought a knee support a few days ago for £7.99 before this offer was on, but today the same knee support came up again for £7.99 and i bought another with no rush for the £3 credit so i now have support for both my knees!

What happens if my prime runs out before i use the £3 credit can i still use it or do i have to hurry up and use the credit?
ZTriv
26 Nov 16 #51
You'd think so, but I keep getting offered Prime Now credit even though it's not available in my area. Talked to Support and they said there wasn't anything they could do. Bit annoying, as there's now no incentive for me to choose No-Rush.

Apparently the Prime Now credit is only being offered this weekend though (I'm presuming Monday too), according to Support.

This is what happens when you increase minimum wage and insist all companies provide a pension. The small companies do exactly that but the big companies avoid by making employees self employed or just simply not paying the minimum wage (sports direct). It annoys me when panorama make a documentary about what is happening but don't look at the route cause, the government trying to make companies pay for the stuff they already charge the individual for through national insurance.

Sports Direct were paying minimum wage, it was declared that the time staff were being checked by security should have been paid for. NI doesn't pay for pensions, it used to, but now the cult of the NHS takes £120,000,000,000 each year. Before Amazon were big over here, catalogues used self employed delivery drivers paid per parcel.

26 Nov 16 1 #81
I really don't get why this has so much heat. You pay £80 a year to be a Prime member, then you pay a few quid extra for a Prime item, and a few quid extra again because Amazon is frequently more expensive than the competition (but, hey, you've paid to be an Amazon member so why not use Amazon?), and now they're paying you in temporary pretend-money to opt-out of the delivery service you pay extra for, and this is somehow a good thing?

yes exactly originally £3 pantry credit was stackable (so used originally when there was great offer on pampers)
then the next time the £3 credit wasn't stackable although Amazon didn't state it obviously (had to dig in few T&C links)
after a big fuss and some moaning customers Amazon made the £3 pantry credits stackable again...

which was great as soon as (with a little bit of patience) as soon there was a good deal on some bacardi i got a load of bacardi at £14/L

i don't get the £3 offer this time (probably as they toook me of the list lol) so can't see the offer and T&C this time but i guess Amazon wised up and it's not stackable any more....
hypa3000
27 Nov 16 #89
so you can use the £3 credit for digital products too? anyone can confirm this?
anyone have the link for this?

i like the way Amazon has made it a lot harder to check any promotional balance (need to go to video / mp3 then pay with other option 'gift balance' and see promo credit there i believe)

Yeah I order band of brothers blu ray set from amazon, it never arrived but tracking says it was handed to me. Amazon refused to help me and I was told to go to the police. Part of me feels like not buying from amazon now out of principle. I actually paid £2.99 cash and the other £10 was voucher and promos so I told them I'm not going to line up in the police station for £2.99.

Did anyone get the deal that was mentioned in the OP (prime now credit)? Thankfully it's changed to digital (£1) credit now, which is more use than the £3 Pantry credit.
