The Paperwhite with special offers hasn't been updated with the new price yet, but without offers is now £89.99
edit: price has now changed to £79.99.
Regarding offers/adverts, many members have said that its very easy to remove the adverts if you just speak with Amazon themselves, give a viable reason e.g a gift for parents that get easily confused with all the adverts, etc.
Seems better to just buy the with offers variants, if one amazon representative asks you to pay, just politely decline and open another chat to someone else, and try again

I wouldn't worry about getting the one with offers, I messaged Amazon asking them how I could remove them and they did it for free, didn't have to pay any additional costs

I did the same and the said I'd have to pay a tenner. :disappointed:

Anyone know how intrusive the ads are?

99p cheaper at Tesco. Wonder if the Argos one is an older model as they quote 2015.

The 2015 3rd generation model is still the current latest paperwhite. If it is listed with the 300ppi screen then it is the latest.

I'd keep trying, they said since I was a 'loyal customer' they'd do it for free. Might just depend who you talk to. Did you go on the live chat?

Yeah, I tried it on the live chat. I'd try again but I'm not sure if they keep a log of your chats.

Good price for the Paperwhite. I just bought a standard Kindle. The Ads are not intrusive at all. When you press the power button the ad just serves as a screen saver. When you press the power button again you can just swipe it away and continue reading. I read it costs a tenner to remove them. To be honest I wouldn't bother as they are no hassle.

That's my experience with them too, they never really bothered me, certainly not worth paying a tenner to remove.

I ordered this the other day for £109.99.
I just spoke with Amazon's customer service and they are unwilling to give me a partial refund and have told me to send it back if I want a refund.
Has anyone else had this issue? I thought it was standard procedure for them to give a partial refund given the fact I ordered it a couple of days ago.

exactly as I said on the Argos thread.. wait for the JL offer, because Amazon cs don't want to know if there's a problem after a year.... I bought my replacement Kindle from them so I have at least 2 years warranty...
I just got a certified refurbished Kindle Voyage for £96! A nice upgrade from my 2013 Paperwhite

Amazon apparently delivered mine to my work at 5:40pm. The gate closes at 5pm and we've got cctv and some guy I've never heard of has signed for it as 'resident'.
I'm gonna wait till the end of the day today to see if it gets delivered to me today either by the courier or the person who has allegedly signed for it otherwise if it doesn't turn up I'll be getting onto Amazon!

Amazon didn't deliver it though did they? A courier did.
As an opposing and equally irrelevant anecdote, mine was delivered yesterday, and left exactly in the safe place I specified, with a card thru the door notifying me of it's arrival.
So there we go.

Trying to find one of these for xmas present but I think I've missed the best deals like this one. Best I can find is (dare I say it) QVC are selling it for £109 but it comes with the kindle leather case which is £24.99 normally. Anyone know of any other options?
