I can confirm this is a great price, ive been looking last few days for my grandson, i know cases and extra cards are relatively cheaper by themselves but as a package ideal mas present, Voted hot

Can you choose which Colour/Colour's you get it in?, or ..... (Red, Blue, Purple, etc?)

A quick Google suggests that can downgrade to an earlier version of fire is and then root and install cyanogenmod. Undecided whether or not to get me one of these now for my young 'un or wait to see what's on offer Friday. Can one return to store for refund?

Do you need Amazon Prime to make the most of this or can you just use it as a regular tablet?

Hot. Got this, great tablet for price imo, only issue for me is the lack of a decent epub reader for it. can't find one anywhere that I can load on it fro Amazon store.

I have bought two of these tablets, on both I have installed Cyanogenmod. If you are so inclined you can turn an average tablet in to something that really does 'punch above its weight' for the price. It is not a difficult process if you have done anything similar in the past. The good thing is that there is monthly security patches so you can ensure that your tablet is always up to date. For £50 you really can't do much better in my opinion.

The only real downside is that the screen resolution is only 1024X600 although with Cyanogenmod you can change the dpi settings to approximate a better resolution. I use this everyday now for basic browsing and e-reading and the occasional game. If you are prepared to put in a little work then you will be impressed at what you can do with this tablet for the price paid. For those interested you can find Cyanogenmod here

Im not seen one of these physically so can anyone tell me how the screen size compares to the nexus 7 which I feel is a tad smaller than I want?

Picked mine up today, just to confirm it is the 16gb version, the case is priced at £19.99 on amazon and the sd card is SanDisk 32gb class 10 (not opened the cardboard sleeve it's in) worth about £10.
