you don't get a code - it just applies to your account automatically, if you try buying something direct from amazon it should show in the checkout stage

Took out the offer, Audible confirmed ok but never got the Email 'Your 15 Amazon credit is ready to use', Have just bought he 6 x Blu-Ray offer so lets see if its. I had to chase them for the £5 on £100 deposited offer also. I can see another Email being sent in a week!

Maybe was just lucky then, coz I did have it refunded twice but it took a lot of persistence and the usual supervisor intervention.

no they don't refund it, ​if they did for you it was a special case, the terms and conditions state, they don't refund promo credit.

Yes they refund it - but its a massive PITA to get it back, so indeed best to buy something with the promo you will keep.

I've tried, but they're just flat out refusing to give me the credit. My husband did exactly the same as me, but is getting his credit! So annoying. I've asked for a refund of my £7.99.

Oh and they suggested I contact the Retail Ombudsman, so I have.

Keep chasing it, i cancelled mine straight away and have successfully had the credit applied although it was a ball ache and i kept getting fobbed off.

Yeah it was a nightmare for me also but its now been sorted, 1 live chat person i spoke to told me that because i had cancelled the subscription i was no longer entitled to it, i then reminded them that in the terms and conditions it never mentioned that and I had received a confirmation email saying the credit had been applied (which it hadn't) they then passed me to another CS agent who said the email i had recieved was a phishing email and directed me to Citizens Advice. I'm thinking all the money that Amazon have spent to get Clarkeson would have been better spent on training their staff. disgraceful.

For anyone who cancelled straight away and still hasn't received the credit, apparently audible's system takes 4 hours to process orders, and as I cancelled my subscription before it was processed, I'm not eligible for the credit. Still arguing this one out over email.

Yes, on the right hand side says audible promotion with a minus figure of the discount.

They are saying the credit will be applied at checkout if buying an eligible product from Amazon, is the discount shown before clicking the buy now? Because I can't see it

Its been crazy for me too - did it on 2 accounts and on both had to haggle a while before they finally applied the credit - didn't expect them from amazon - usually they are bang on the money when its coming to CS !

I just cancelled, without using the credit. Told them I'm fussy so cannot choose just one so think its best I cancel and try again when I know one I like. Was told thats fine cancelled and refunded, but also told to use my credit during the chat to pick one so I can trial the service and see how good it is. Wow thats amazing service. for those who have used a credit* you can return the book and it will show up as you still have 1 credit available. The talk on the Webchat. I told them that i (genuinely did think) that is was unlimited downloads and not just one credit, so ive had them refund the 7.99. Make sure you request an email to confirm this.

Same happened to me, no email but the promotional credit was applied to my next order

When you have narrowed down your search on Amazon for the type of product you are after.....
Look to the left hand side (the 'refine by' section) and scroll down a bit.... and you should see an option for 'Seller ', Then check the box next to Amazon.co.uk and that will narrow down your selection to those items sold by Amazon only. Hope this helps :smiley:

I personally did NOT get an email confirming the free £15 credit, however after a few hours it simply appeared in my promotional balance. As far as I know you can only view your promotional balance during checkout, just before you pay for an item (where you select payment method). If you have the credit, it will show there.

Fight your own battles on this - I just got told by a chat rep that since I have been with audible before my account doesn't qualify (even though I had confirmed with them earlier) - just cancelled my membership so that I don't end up paying for something I wasn't intending to use in the first place anyways.

guys Just need to download your first voicebook and download the app they suggest, this will work as a trigger. When finished the download I received the confirmation email about the 15quid. After it just chatted and cancelled the membership, and she refunded my 7.99.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but when you cancel it offers to give you another credit to stay. Planning to use that credit and then cancel again, so hopefully 2 free books :smiley:

Yea, I know. Thats what makes it weird. I just bought something sold by amazon and it wasn't applied. People on here have been getting theirs but for some reason I didn't and they claim its because I had membership in 2012. So I just sent a reply now asking for a refund. Hopefully that will be granted and I won't have lost anything.

The three that took my fancy were Bill Brysons A Short History of nearly everything, and Andrew Marrs History of the world. Also, a brilliant book I've been meaning to read is Alone in Berlin, gets rave reviews and is available as an audiobook. Not sure I'd fancy a fiction book as an audiobook. yeah the prices for audiobooks are insane, you what really strange is if you would by the kindle book you can get the audio book with it for like 4 or 5 pounds, so it's cheaper to same kindle and audiobook together because that is like 10 to 15 max than just buying the audio book which is by itself lie 25 pounds. really strange business practices

This is now my 5th book, still only paid £7.99 and received £25 in credit. I repeat, I'm a happy bunny.

One saying Thankyou for shopping at Audible, and the other saying my £15 Amazon credit is ready to use.
Got both within 10 minutes of signing up.

I didn't get an email for it no, but when I tried to purchase something from amazon direct (just as a test, I didn't buy it) the promotional voucher appeared

Has anyone that recently cancelled an Audible subscription done this and got the £15 credit? Only the blurb does say "Offer available to new members only".

Did you get an email saying you would get the £15 all I have had is an email saying thanks for signing up but nothing about any credit??

My money came through but it took a few hours - as an FYI it doesn't show up in the gift card balance or anywhere, it will only show when you goto checkout, then it will say that discount is applied and its a promotional discount - you have 90 days to spend the £15 from sign up

Do you have to be completely out of the subscription period or just cancel your sub?

Mine just renewed last week as £7.99, wish I had known about this I could have cancelled and renewed with this.... :disappointed:

Depends how it is provided. If it comes as an actual gift card, unlikely IME, then it will work on anything. If instead they apply it as a 'promotional credit' to your account then it will only work with items sold directly from Amazon and not third party sellers...
