But ........having said that ..........
My new most favourite thing in the world at the moment is
Aldi Specially Selected Mince Pies
As per the previous comment, try them you will see why - and I don't even like mince pies as a rule.

As a cake they are fine, I would buy them again (but never at £2.50) but not so much a usual mince pie taste, so not terribly Christmassy. Best so far in our taste testing are Aldi's regular (79p!?), but will try Aldi's luxury tomorrow.

So... just a block of butter?

I know these are/should be a treat but, they have 238 calories each and, what's worse, 6 teaspoons of sugar in each one! Wow! Enjoy, though, if you will.

Ordered these online , substituted with other mince pies from Waitrose . OK , same price but not the same & could have refused them of course . No . 1 son likes them so they will get eaten , might try one or two myself seeing it will soon be Christmas .

not as good as the award winning luxury butter pastry mince pies from Aldi..... they came 1st in the `Good food guide`....check em out, you`ll see why

Bought some on Saturday, lovely pastry and they are quite deep so lots of fruity filling.
