Anyone else having issues with the o2 store? Trying to buy a refresh iPhone, I've tried 4 different cards on 2 different accounts, bank says they haven't been blocked, can't get through checkout.

I have one of these mobiles with a all UK networks roaming sim (£1) that does not require a top up for emergency calls and the phone didnt need unlocked - great for backpacking, rambling & car glovebox
Cheers OP heat, I posted when £5.99 - this is just play money  just ordered 2 as spares - as a owner these mobiles are fantastic quality for a basic phone, and a good size buttons and screen being almost double the size of other cheap mobiles.

Many thanks for this OP. Seaniboy - the £1 anywhere seems a good idea for genuine emergencies, do you know if people can make a call to the phone/SIM - I am thinking of sending this out with my kids who play in a local park but forget when it is time for dinner...thanks,

You need to activate and top up to receive the sim number, but 999 calls are not restricted out the packet
Switch off data and 600 minutes/1200 texts or a mix
Frankly buying the biggest top up in this day and age equals a outlay of £5 a month for any young kids to have a signal on any network is a cheap price to pay for security you cant get elsewhere

If you look at the photo of the terms on the argos page it says you need an unlocked phone so i'm a bit dubious about that (as this phone is locked to O2). Otherwise it seems a good idea.

The anywhere sim issuer is the o2 Isle of Man network - Manx Telecom that o2 sold off 5/6 years ago, my anywhere sim worked without unlocking
