Picked this up today from argos
16gb 7 inch alba tablet
Comes with a red and blue silicone case
Seems to have good reviews too
It seemed a good price to me the Amazon fire 16gb being £59.99
Although I'm not amazing with technology so I may be missing something between the two but I'm sure this will do just fine for my 6 year old

Special offer! Trade in your old tablets for Argos vouchers. Offer ends 09/01/2017.

I asked them about this, I thought it was a "trade any tablet and get a voucher" type offer, it's more of a link to a cex type idea where they are trialling buying pre owned I was told.
I couldn't use it but hopefully others can ☺

Where is the link for this? I have a crappy old tablet I'd love to trade in.

I got the 8" one last year! It's rubbish! Screen went unresponsive in parts so you have to rotate to type! Also it constantly crashes saying something about google play services. Nice price but worth paying more for a decent tablet!

Decent enough for the price. Irulu do decent tablets at good prices on amazon too if these are out of stock etc.

I just ordered a 8gb fire hd 6 tablet from the amazon warehouse for £40 how does this compare?
Edit : Bought as a birthday present for my 10yr/old sister as she likes the app/games you can get on the amazon app store as she has played about with the kids amazon tablet. But performance wise and price how does it compare to this?

3 inches bigger for 30 quid is good.
