An update on this item. I just bought ine from argos and tried it from my phone. Not much bass at all... tried it with my tv and it dont sound too bad when watching tennis or countdown or when on the radio channels, however when flicking through the music channels like mtv it struggles in the bass again. Honest opinion its not bad if you dont like your music too loud. There is a deffinate difference with the tv speakers and this. I say buy it. Try it. If its crap then atleast argos offer money back and your not left with posting it back as you can take it back to store.
Hope this helps
On that note... off to tesco to buy some pringles... what flavour gives the best bass? :sunglasses:

Bought one as a present and tried it out, don't know why everyone is complaining? No issues whatsoever, great sound from a £20 soundbar, won't find a 50w soundbar with Bluetooth for the same price

bought this from argos and I had to return it. sound from pc while playing music or watching youtube video is cutting out, just like other buyers have mentioned earlier. Maybe this is the reason for the huge price cut.

Mines going back in the morning as well...made everything very tinny, although it did perform slightly better on firetv than on freeview for some reason but tv speakers are far better for me.
Worth trying though, it seems some are getting better results than others.

Does anyone else's remote say "Moving" along the bottom row in the middle button? I'm not sure if it's meant to say movie?

Without doubt , the best £20 I've spent in a long time . Perfect for tunes in the kitchen. Obviously it's not the best quality- but really worth the £20 spend. A thousand times better sounding than mobile phones - anyone in any doubt - get one , you'll not be unhappy if you don't set your expectations to high .

Give it a try. I personally found the soundbar produced a fuller sound and definitely louder.
I agree with you about the TV speakers, especially when playing a film from my fire stick via Bluetooth.

From what I understand the l and r on the tv will mean u can still have the sound oit the tv and the speaker.
But using a headphone jack 3.5mm will cut out ur tv sound

Just bought one. Paired it with my Amazon echo over Bluetooth. Very pleased so far, thank you op.

Is this worth doing? Always found my Echo to be a decent speaker.
Just picked it up and for £20 it's a great improvement over TV speakers.
Also is using the L+R out from the TV a big different from using the included 3.5mm to L+R?

I got a cheap soundbar for my TV when I moved house and they are surprisingly good, especially compared to TV speakers which is what folk should be comparing them to at this price point rather than £200 soundbars and home cinema kits. Bluetooth makes them even better for connecting mobiles, tablets etc

thats pretty good with Bluetooth, I mean a alba dab radio is the same price, worth it just for the Wi-Fi radio stations ?

Would this be better than a 2011 Sony Bravia speakers in a bedroom?

These are absolutely wonderful for tablets and smart phones at home. Whenever I'm watching Youtube I connect my cheap soundbar up via bluetooth and it makes a world of difference.

For £20 it's worth a go, if you don't like it or its not up to what you expected, just return it.
I think you would be hard put to find similar specs for a similar price locally you can just go and pick up.

As with everything, its personal preference and also room size etc.., it may suit some but clearly as its cheap and cheerful, you will get complaints.
