I'm actually amazed this hasn't been listed yet. Seems a decent price for a Pentium 3558U laptop for office or the kids. Will there be cheaper come Black Friday? Possibly, but this deal seems sustainable for all those people trying to avoid the rush for the one or two that go cheaper.
Comes with a 1 tb drive, 4 GB of ram, and a DVD rewriter all in a decent 15.6 inch screen.
Here is the blurb from the website.
The Acer Aspire ES15 strikes a great balance between design, performance and productivity. Its 15.6-inch HD CineCrystal LED backlit TFT LCD display makes images brighter and clearer for an enhanced viewing experience. With BluelightShield™ software, bothersome blue light is filtered out from the screen to reduce eye strain during prolonged use.
A precision touchpad allows for intuitive navigation with pinch-to-zoom functionality and smooth zooming and scrolling. The laptop also benefits from a chiclet keyboard that offers solid tactile feedback for a reliable and responsive performance.
This Aspire ES Series laptop features a full range of connectivity options. Swap pictures and files or expand your storage capabilities using the SD card reader, or use the USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports to share content with other devices. USB 3.0 is the latest USB standard that offers transfer rates up to 10 times faster than Hi-Speed USB 2.0. HDMI enables high definition connectivity from your laptop to AV equipment including your HD TV.

Hmmm! I'm a great grandparent and have probably forgotten more about computing than you will ever know. Don't be ageist!

That's a poor article. It's stating the obvious. Acer aren't hiding the specs. If a buyer doesn't understand that this 3 year chip can't handle gaming then that's not Acer's fault.
I tried all day to get the Dell deal and didn't have any luck! Was looking to get this for my dad, he has a 'compaq' at the moment, he uses it everyday to play on his guitar but it old... would this be suitable for him??

Yep the Dell is much better, if you compare the processor benchmark to this, this one is much slower

Waste of money this laptop. I bought one and had nothing but problems.
They have put a high hard drive plus memory on a poo motherboard what cannot handle what's on it. Never mind Windows 10.

I'm after a 13" or under with i3 and at least 4GB memory. Is there anything available at under £300?
You might be right, suspect they'll get busy on that. I'd still skip this one though.

I hung about for a while based on the same deal, but after contacting Dell, I am less than enthusiast about being able to get my hands on one. With my luck this deal would have been gone as well, so I took the gamble of getting this one while I could.
It'll be a good deal for those lucky enough.

That's the E1 AMD processor version. I ended up going for the Pentium. The AMD has a benchmark score of 974, and the Pentium gets 1724.
I've got 2 of these but the 500gb ones and one of these 1tb which is 17 inch screen ...all have one finger scroll touch pad. ...none of them have a VGA port.

I can't tell you the exact model until Tesco send via click and collect, but there are several ES models on Acers website. They seem to have HDMI and USB 3.0.

thank you
When they miss one out...I fill in the gap!
I've long given up on an appropriate smiley face!
Also, how does it compare to this (which I was just about to buy!)?
