from what I've read over the last couple of days i think an ssd is a lot faster, quieter and also more robust as it has no moving parts like a standard hard drive but you don't get as much space on them.

please help! can't decide between this deal, the Asus Curry's deal at 279 and the lenovo 510 deal at £299.

having trouble trying to find a laptop that has it all in this price range. The Asus and lenovo look good but are lacking an ssd. This laptop seems odd that it has 6gb of ram instead of the usual 4-8 that I have been seeing. (not too clued up on computers lol)

Here's a link to the black one, since deal button links to main site.

SSDs are generally upto 10 times faster than normal HDD hard drives. this is because they have no moving parts, whereas HDDs are spinny discs.

because ssd is a very fast
every 5 years old PC with SSD will work better than new PC with HDD

Even modern day budget pc's get held up waiting for hard drives to read/write/move information around, SSD do this blazingly fast so you can get the most out of the rest of the system.

anyone have any code to get it cheaper? im a new customer to them but code for fisrt credit order doesnt work:/
Thats fine. This laptop from Very seems good as it is and I'd most likely just use it as it is. Just worried about ordering from Very due to such bad customer reviews from TrustPilot. If something goes wrong I don't have money to just waste £290. Let me know if you do buy it
I just went ahead and bought it, got it in the red colour for my daughter. I've looked at so many laptops this past 3 days that my head is starting to fry! Also as this is my first order from Very I got 10% off after applying for a credit account so total was £264.95.

Oh wow. This would be my very first offer also so how does that work? I want to do what u did and save some aswell. What do I do to get that

the promo code KPAGM can be added in at checkout but will only work for your first order when you sign up for a credit account. First you will need to sign up to very, after you sign up and logged in, add the item to basket, go to checkout and it gives you the option to apply for a credit account. To apply they ask how long you've lived at your address, your employment status and household earnings. it was a pretty quick process tbf

if its your first order, use the 10% off first order aswell!

Does it affect my credit rating or anything? I'm a student and don't understand much about credit ratings etc and don't want any sort of credit card lool. Sorry im a noob
Also what's the estimated delivery time?
burgo1 to Sufz
25 Nov 16#34
I did wonder if it would effect my credit rating but I don't plan on applying for anything in the foreseeable future anyway so gave it a try.
my order confirmation says it'll be delivered by next Wednesday 30th.

You, like me, have been charged for delivery. Their credit offer states that free next day delivery is included - and that's not right. Don't let them get away with it. I didn't.

hi, im trying to order one for my child. but would like it in another colour then in black..but can not get that option, is the option no longer available or im i missing something? thanks in advance.
I mean maybe it's worded badly and isn't really next day delivery but it certainly reads that way to me. And it's definitely says free either way.

Definitely worth the cost, i3, SSD, 6GB ram, and full HD screen. Ticks all the boxes for majority of laptop users, and will last at least three years before an upgrade is desirable

but at 14" standard HD had the same pixel density so it appears just as crisp and has a lower load on the integrated graphics. it can still output full HD externally as well.

25 Nov 16#42
Wth that's a much better deal... is the supplier legit and fine with any returns etc? It's got the same specs but more RAM and a better processor. I might wait till tomorrow then just since I might order the one you said. why's it so cheap and is the return quality good and you think battery life is sane as this one?

thanks, i actually agree with you it clearly says free delivery with click and collect

25 Nov 16#44
I had this one time with Very, some glitch on the site where the delivery was charged on a click and collect item, one call to customer services and the delivery charge was credited to my account. Depending on your phone package http://www.saynoto0870.com/ is your friend.

 ordered been waiting for a very deal. never had issue with the and 12 month interest free
Got mine from Gigarefurb today, the e6430 comes with a 9 cell genuine replacement battery that goes for around £100. crazy battery life. crazy fast. Love it!

The Dell is a refurb laptop from 2012. The screen resolution is lower despite what the other guy says it also has poor viewing angles, oversaturated colours and crap contrast ratio too. Tidy spec back in its day and better build quality but it's dated!
Great article. Although some of the people in the comments need a slap.

Trying to decide between this one and one of those China tablets.. tricky
Sufz
26 Nov 16#53
Thats what I was worried about also the viewing angles etc... But the processor seems twice as good as the one on this deal, no? It's also got a bit more RAM. What generation is the processor on the other laptop compared to what generation there is now? Would it be more liable to slowing down earlier than the laptop on this deal. I feel like I'd get more quality for money for the other one it seems due to better specs but poorer resolution. What does it being dated have to do or is it that it'll degenerate faster, or you just mean the resolution?

the red one is still showing stock. There is also another es15 available with almost the same spec but slightly slower pentium processor at £249. Maybe a good choice with the 10% off first order deal for someone

I never considered a refurb as I'm buying a laptop for my daughter. Don't think she would've been that impressed with a secondhand model even if it had better specs. If I was looking for myself I would probably look for a refurb but I'd be patient about it and wait for an awsome deal rather than mediocre

Is there any more in stock? I didn't get to buy it and really want one of these laptops! :disappointed: The black and the red both out of stock now
