This is NOT as described ,it says the bars are full size they ARE NOT! A full size Mars bar is 51 grams these bars are 33. 8 grams a full size snickers is 48 grams & these are 35.5 grams . Totally misleading but good value all the same

Do remember Premier Stores is owned by Bookers Limited. They also own Budgens and Londis. The group turned over 5bn last year. Sure they supply many independents. The people running the franchises maybe local but this is a large firm with online sales of over 1.8bn a year.

True independent shops are much more harder to find. Many firms use franchises. Many Mcdonalds are franchises. Doesn't mean I rush there to support the firm because a local man runs it.

This firm is run by Tesco. You can still have a local person open the shop and run it. There is a big difference between supporting local firms and supporting big retailers like this. Where do you draw the line?

Bought 2 packs the other day, at premier. Looking at them now. They are 4 x 35.5g = 142g

Great find OP. Everyone saying that it's cheaper elsewhere just remember that Premier is a franchise and each store is individually owned by either a friendly family or an individual trying to make a living while 'Tesco' and other big brands are trying to destroy them. Support your local stores because one day when Tesco dominates the market you will have no choice but to pay what ever they charge you. Also think about the poor local people trying to make a living like everyone else. My local store is run by a lovely father and the poor fella wakes up at 6am till midnight everyday just to make a living.

Tesco's 9 bars for £1.25 work out cheaper even though the bars are smaller (41.7g vs 51g).

Tesco - 9 x 41.7 = 375.3g - (1.25/375.3) x 100 = 0.333p / 100g
Premier - 8 x 51 = 408g - (1.5/408) x 100 = 0.367p /100g

The 9-pack in Tesco @ £1.25 are 41.7g so cheaper and better weight. But OP's deal is still good for a convenience store.

individual bar is now 51g (down from 58g), multipack bars are 39.4g. 8 for £1.50 still a good deal.
