Just logged into AMEX to see that I had a £30 off £100 offer to add to my card...
Great deal if you are planning to get the Surface Offer for £699

apparently you can only buy digital products with the redeem code they've sent. what a waste of time, I will ask for a refund.

I think you have to go into microsoftstore.co.uk/amex so that would preclude going in via a cashback website ??

Does not seem to be working? Anyone tried this recently. As in, registering not the offer itself.

Cant find any links for this for the Lloyds AMEX card on that connect site. Shame, I fancied an XBOX for £200

Simply don't email them afterwards to tell them that you bought giftcards. Otherwise how would Amex know what items you bought within your card transaction?

It should appear in the offers section when you log into the AMEX site
not valid on buying gift-cards - T&C
C. Transactions that are not eligible
The following transactions are not eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the offer:
· transactions where you do not spend directly with the merchant (for example, if you buy the merchant’s goods through a third party department store);
· transactions processed through a third party payment processor (for example, PayPal);
· transactions that are subsequently cancelled or refunded;
· transactions where the merchant does not pass on the information we need to process it properly within the offer period (for example, when their payment systems are down and they cannot process the transaction electronically)
· transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher.

How about placing the order, close the browser when asked for credit card details.
ring customer service, ask them to get money from several AMEX cards?
