Yeah you generally only get the something went wrong message if buying multiple codes from different accounts. Wuaki or the people that run the promotion detect your IP address to try and ensure that it's one code per person or to deter bulk buying. What you generally have to do is switch your IP. For example use your phone to purchase the code and use mobile data not wifi.

BTW, get the code from your email, it's formatted without the spaces that are present went copied straight from the website after purchase, so you can paste straight into xbox app or website.
