The current 20% off code for selected large appliances seems to apply to other brands too, such as Hotpoint! If you click the banner, it will only show a few brands / products but I just used the code to get 20% off a Hotpoint Extra Dishwasher FDFEX 11011 P (from £275 to £220).

Bosch doesn't have to be made in Germany to be a quality item - it's still going to be a lot better than a Hotpoint, wherever it's made!

I've got my cynical head on today and I think all these 'glitches' are the new selling techniques. They've replaced discount codes.

Absolutely right. These aren't glitches - they're just cynical marketing ploys aimed at creating impulse purchases by people thinking they've somehow got one over the retailer. Clever - and it works.

20% off should not be enough for anyone to buy from the hotpoint family, as someone frequently says on here "why pay that amount for landfill"

You do realise that your cheap Bosch is not in fact a german made quality item dont you?

I certainly do, I used to be a white goods salesman.

Maybe it's a Turkish made quality item then - who cares? I guess you think your BMW/Audi/Merc/VW, etc was made in Germany - maybe it was but quite possibly it wasn't and it probably isn't a 'quality' item anyway.

Has a number of decent reviews, but you're looking at the budget end of dishwashers so don't expect the moon on a stick.
I noticed that they're also offering free recycling of your old one for free on Hotpoint and Indesit models so that'll save an extra 15 quid - which seems to be the standard fee for most retailers

I worked for Tesco marketing and it's just another marketing term. It's no glitch, sales of white goods are on the decline and space in the warehouses is at a premium so we discount to move the stock. Perceived value for the end customer.

Our dishwasher has just expired, so yesterday I researched and found an Indesit at £239. 20% off - worked. Free disposal of appliance - worked. BUT - I wanted to make sure that the old one was beyond redemption before committing to a new appliance.
So today I came back to Tesco - dishwasher was still in the basket, but they "didn't have sufficient appliance disposals" to fulfil my order, so that was removed. Also - although the code was still in there, it was no longer applied.
So no 20% off and no free appliance disposal. Bottoms.
Great post, though....if I'd only bought yesterday....
***Correction*** - I removed the discount code and then started it again. This time the discount code did, again, work...but still no free appliance disposal, for some reason. I can cope with that, for £47.80 off!
