The new ones look so ridiculous, I think I could have handled it better if they'd just reduced the length of the bar.

actually I love Toblerone and I feel rather more sad than I should about the design change. going to have to close my eyes from now on while enjoying that Christmas nutty sensation.

None in my local Poundland this morning, only 150g milk bars but they had 170g milk bars in Poundworld

White too, as rare as rocking horse ****.

I always reckon that at £1 per 100 grams is all that I'd pay for decent chocolate.

White Toblerone is lovely, but I don't like rewarding shifty business practices.

If Mondelez were introducing the gaps in all their Toblerones, the customer would soon know what they are getting. But only amending two of them whilst keeping the same physical packaging size doesn't sit right (like Mars, etc putting different sized bars in their different packaging variants).

Just like Cadbury do in their multi-packs. Oh, are they owned by the same company, Mondelez, so not the first time they keep the packaging and reduce content, just plain deceitful.. AVOID

Someone recently asked me if I could see the hidden "Bear" contained within the Toblerone mountain logo.
I didn't know what they were on about and thought they were winding me up, but as soon as it was pointed out to me it's all I can see now!

I'm pretty sure they are not exclusive, but I think Poundland sell them for less than other retailers. Were £1.10 in Sainsbury's recently.

So this how they are creating the larger gaps? A load of people feasting on every other triangle

I have no wish to get into a debate over the exclusivity of Toblerone in Poundland. My point was more why do other retailers sell a product which is more or less a poundshop staple. The Sainsbury's which was selling them for £1.10 is not more than 100 paces away from the Poundland selling for a 100p

and I remember when Curly Wurlys were 2 foot long and the chocolate was soooo thick it came off in chunks.....

Reducing the length of the bar would have incurred additional costs in packaging which is what they wanted to avoid.

Actually i can, sainsburys and other retailers are not stocking this size. They may have a white choc one in stock, however this size is exclusive to poundland.

I won't be buying these anymore, I love them but I can also do without them.

If they can do this then they don't give a monkeys eye on about it's consumers, judging by all the backlash on facebook and twitter I won't be the only one to say bye.

The change is likely due to a combination of increased ingredient costs and the government pushing reformulation/portion size reduction as part of it's anti-obesity campaign I think because nanny state knows best. :smile:

Selling both 170g and 150g in my local Poundland. Bought two of the 170g ones and quietly laughed at anyone not looking and picking up the 150g one.

These white bars used to be about 69p in B&M. I find them tastier than the standard. But my local seemed to had ran out of stock.

The deal isn't bad, that's a chunk of choc for your money and it is good quality choco, not so keen on white tobler, prefer milk. I wouldn't give full price for anything these days including chocolate.
But, I do not like the attitude of mondalez, opportunistic and this is not the first time they've done the dirty on us. So, I will be think twice before I buy ANY of their products, I stopped buying cadbury a while back...

Because time is valuable and some of us would rather pay the extra 10p to not have to queue for 10 minutes in poundland. If your time is only worth 60p per hour then you can come clean my house. I'll even give you a bonus.

I just got some white ones, 170g, and they still have a bit of a gap in them, with the little line. Do the 170g ones normally have that?

I found some of those yesterday. But they are 100g ones, and they were just out of date (October).

Found the 170g white ones in one of the Poundlands in Derby today. The one outside the Westlife Centre, not the two inside. Although one of the inside ones was advertising that they were there, and that they were 200g, which I presume is a cock-up.
They also had the 150g and 170g milk choc ones, all mixed up together.
