just don't buy the screwfix own brand they are terrible, within ten minutes of me trying to loosen a radiator they snapped in half, got my money back OK but had the hassle of taking them back.

Yep, Stanley Black & Decker is a massive fortune 500 conglomerate that owns the DeWalt, B&D, Stanley, Mac Tool, Facom and Britool brands.

Any of tools from those brands in the same price brackets all have the same guts.

Judging from the reviews I don't think these ones are a big enough leap from the cheapies I have to make them worth the outlay.

I now by lifetime tools but the "slightly" had me hope you got one for a good price. £25 is a tad more than slight compared to a tenner :wink:

Read the last reviews on the FatMax page, they're probably the most telling. It all comes down to whether you want one for occasional light use or a decent quality tool that will probably outlive you.

I use these at work they are not great at griping some work pieces, the knipex cobra equivalent are much better albeit slightly more expensive..
