Apart from the fossil fuels used to refine the ores, make the plastics and make & produce the electricity to charge the battery? Not to mention the heavy metals and non-biodegradability of the battery & most of the chassis.
Wildly erroneous, these will create a lot of toxic waste and not just CO2.
Luckily the Police are advised not to fine kids under 14 (this goes for cycling too).

I thought these were for kids? What sort of grown person would want to ride one of these?

Indeed. Although one guy did seem to be considering one for his commute! (I'd be OK being < 70kg  )
Not a fan of them myself. Kids opposite my OH's place have one. Often see 2 or 3 of them trying to get on it at the same time. Wobbling along the pavement and inbetween parked cars. Just waiting for one of them to lose the thing and scrape it right down the side of someone's car. (Ideally not mine) They don't exactly look very stable ....

Maximum rider weight 70kg? That probably rules out most of the population. Unless you just want to buy it for your kids.

Prob not as good but less then half the price, just giving poorer people a chance to partake.

These are really cheap on groupon. With the 25% off voucher for first time users the one with the seat works out £42 and the one without is £35. Voucher is FIRST

Different scooters on Groupon altogether, unlikely to get 1 hour or 12mph. These are on Halfords eBay too free shipping

There are a whole raft of offences that you could be done for if you use them on the road or pavement.
