I think people are confusing formed fish with MS/MR fish or generic fish mince. Formed cod fillets means smaller fillets of cod put together to make a product with uniform weight and shape which helps reduce food waste. There is nothing wrong with these products, people need to check their privilege levels and stop virtue signalling imo. :smiley:

No confusion here. They are not proper fillets, they are formed from off cuts of fillet. Tesco haddock fillets are proper whole cuts.

Basically it's bits of leftover 'fillet' pieces or fillet waste...formed into pieces & covered in batter

This is the picture from the tesco website which appears to show a proper fish fillet (and no mention of 'formed fillet' on the cover). If it's the right box, it's very deceptive IMO.
