tbh there is a lot of hype about black friday, the best deal when this came out were the £200 ones inc fifa, but this basically replicates that for value. The £239 tesco deal with the three games was a one off as it was a combination of a good deal coinciding with a very relevant discount code.

What are people expecting to get on black friday? 3 games for £250? 2 games for £200-230? They would be crazy deals and even if they did happen, which is a BIG if (BF deals often disappoint, especially on gaming) the difference wouldnt be that significant at this price.

I will be going for this in any case as I have GAME credit to use up of £200+. Did not expect that they would have the best deal at any point!

Xbox One S for ~£180-£185 after eBay fees. Not bad. Tempting, actually. Been tempted to pick up a used Xbox One since prices crashed, but seems silly to do so with deals like this on. The warranty alone is worth the difference.

Was the console making any noises or showed any sign of failure before it happened? Is it completely dead or could it still power up?

Now have the S, and it is much quieter, the fan is MUCH better (the top of my S feels cold when on!) and it looks fantastic, small, stylish, well worth the upgrade

I picked up the old tesco deal, 239 for console + 3 games, sold the games for 110 all in, so 130 quid for an Xbox S. Also got £190 on ebay for my old Xbone and some old games (Fifa 16, Titanfall, Advanced Warfare). WINNING.

Was working fine, no noises. Starts up and I can navigate to turn off the console with the controller using the blank screen. Just wouldn't send a signal to the tv. Tried different HDMI ports, cables and TV. Can even try any of the fixes I've seen online because the One S doesn't have that reset button

Mine has gone for repair with less than a months use. More or less just finished downloading all the EA games. Will lose half a month of my EA access trial :disappointed:

I wouldn't buy from game ever again. I had to return my xbox one S preorder in store (fan broken) and they wouldn't agree that the fan was broken 2 days after receiving it!

Had to return it to MS and after receiving my new one I can confirm the previous one was broke for sure!

There is a great arbitrage opportunity here,the title should states free Fifa 17 + 3 month now tv pass. How?? According to CEX they'll trade-in Xbox one S and gears of war 4 for 250£ in voucher. As we all know CEX= Game through price promise. Therefore buy this bundle, keep the Fifa 17 and now tv, and exchange the rest for 250£ voucher and buy the bundle again, rinse and repeat. :wink:

Continued... when you're done from rinsing and repeating CEX will give you 229 £ in cash for the Xbox one and gears of war 4, and again u get to keep Fifa 17 and now for a whopping 20 quids :man:

errr when is black friday?

ok a dumb question but if you get a 500gb version and you fill it, then you clear space by deleting games that are digital downloads does that mean as you dont have the physical disk you have lost it forever? Not sure how digital downloads work or is it stored in the cloud and you can just use your code to re download it again if you want to?

Your ownership/licence for the title is stored so you can re-download at any time. No need to input the code again, if you delete the game it will subsequently just appear as free in the store.

Bought psvr today, took the 2 games I got with it back to another game for £36 each then sold the psvr to cex for £420 cash.
Just buy one day and take back the next.

trying to work this out and its late, so basically buy this bundle from game and trade in at CEX for £250 minus that you keep Fifa 17, what do you do with the £250 voucher buy the bundle again, wouldn't I just end up with loads of CEX credit....

You will fill 500Gb with just 10-12 games. Better go for a 1Tb which you can get at Currys for £280 included GOW4. I bought one today but haven't been able to play a single game yet due to horrific 80Gb GOW4 download. Not impressed!

I bought one of these and the audio sucks, there is no uncompressed HD audio support. The PS4 supports it, no idea why this doesn't, it just ends up sounding really bad and it means I won't watch movies from it...

That's why all these digital downloads suck. Physical disc all the way

Discs still need to be installed though. I prefer digital myself, saves messing about swapping discs #lazy :laughing:

You buy it and sell it at Game for trade-in credit, and then you keep buying new bundles with the credit you've just earned, Keeping Fifa 17 and now tv along the way i.e. Rinse and repeat. I've mentioned CEX because Game are price matching them and all the trade in prices are fairly priced and are listed on their website (https://uk.m.webuy.com). After you're done rinsing and repeating, if you don't need an Xbox sell it for cash at CEX and get your £249 back plus all the FIFA's you got along the way.

Knowing my local store Sheffield Meadowhall everything is overprice by nearly £30 or maybe more!

I think its the way you have written it, which doesn't make sense to most people, however effort for you said.

The only problem with this deal is most game stores are arsey and from a lot of previous expeeiences they always ask soo many questions.

By the way, have you done this and if so which stores lol so I can known whether it's feasible! Lol.

CEX hold their price for 10 days (you need to make an online order and they will honour it until then).

However if you are trading it to game they will honour the price at the time of the trade. I hope that makes sense? Ps does this deal end tomorrow by close of business?

look fwd to getting an xbox 1 during black friday. have a more original line up this year than ps4. although I hope they fixed the frustrating issue, where without an update the downloaded games would not work (very frustrating when the home broadband is down for a week)

Sorry for the late reply. Been a long day.

Make an account online at cex, then put how you would like to paid for example, cash, PayPal or voucher etc.

Add in gears of war, add in the console and click checkout.

You will then get a 10 day window to send cex your item. They offer a free postage system, however it's recommended to pau extra for a recorded system especially since the value of the items are high.

If you wanted to do this in store, you could do instore however the price can change as prices fluctuate. The advantage with doing it online is you get the 10 day window, however the disadvantage is the postage may cost a bit thus negating any benefit.

I hope that makes sense.
