There's a lot of people who say the price is too much for this controller, but they are often the people who have not actually used the controller and are just making a pre judgement because of the price.
People who have the controller(which I have not) say it is a fantastic controller and worth the price, I rarely see it at under £100 so thought this may be a decent price for anyone interested :smiley:

Fantastic Deal. I picked one of these up recently and it's worth every penny. if you compare with a SCUF INFINITY ONE controller, which i've previously had, i would say that this controller is a country mile ahead of the SCUF controller in every aspect.
The controller's seemless customisable features and additions are incredibly well made and quickly adaptable to almost instantly find your favoured configuration.
Where the SCUF controllers are normal controllers that feel as though they've just been overloaded with tacky plastic additions which imo works against the original idea of giving the user additions that are well made, easy to use and ergonomically ideal for the games. Given the tacky feel to the SCUF pad, i can't believe that it would cost £165.00 to have it loaded with the equal amount of features as the Elite Controller, thus not only making the Elite option the more cost effective aswell.
The build quality of the Elite Controller is phenomenal. You get your money's worth, after listing every that's included which also includes a protective case aswell!
If that isn't enough, this controller will ensure your a cut above those with SCUF controllers aswell as other gamers as you download an app called 'XBOX Accessories'. This allows you to adjust the sensitivity of each thumbstick and give youthe ability to reassign all buttons manually to what you like(make right back paddle the B button). It'll even allow you to lower the brightness of the xbox button on your controller.
The sensitivity alteration is categorised into different option which makes it really easy to find the perfect option for the game your playing.
It really is the best controller in gaming by a longshot. If your thinkingabout buying one, get it done because you won't regret it at any point, ever!

I bought it for £100 from Argos thinking the same, but then sent it back. That is the only thing i have ever returned gaming wise. Didn't think the cost of it justified what it does, its a nice feeling controller but not £100+ worth of good. The paddles on the back were completely pointless and just plain annoying, so ended up removing them ... upon doing that i thought 'i may as well just get a newer controller when they come out' and i did, bought a white Xbox One S controller and much prefer it.
If this dropped in price to say, £60 i'd reconsider purchasing again. £100 is a ripoff.

The latest Xbox One controller has bluetooth support, the Elite is now about a year old and does not. I would hope that the Elite is updated soon to include it, it would make it even more flexible for me.
In the meantime I am still using an Xbox One controller with the wireless receiver, which I used flubit to get for about £15. I wonder if flubit could beat this.

Well people a free to buy what they want. Why spend £70 on some trainers when you can buy trainers from the supermarket for £20? Why spend nearly £170 on a keyboard when you can get them for £10?
Although having said I am the kind of person who paid £100 for the Fallout Pipboy edition but would not pay a premium for a white t-shirt with a brand across the middle.

why would you? way too much of a mess on to get it working with ps4, and for the outlay I'd much rather get a scuf pad.
personal preference I much prefer the ds4, even tho the elite has the better build and the bit metal, it still doesn't feel as comfortable in your hands. weird how ms have took a step back from the 360 pad

awesome for you but i cant use K/B and mouse to game as im used to control pads. i did try for a long time as everyone said id get it. all i got was slaughtered and frustrated in every game. i have an elite controller and i use it on xbox one and pc , its a great controller if you are thinking of getting one this is a great price. dont forget as some one else mentioned £124.99 with battlefield 1 (disc can be kept or traded to cex for £32 cash m £36 voucher) and a £10 argos voucher. getting one for son for christmas will probs do the argos deal and trade in the game as have it digitally.

Why is that a bad thing? My rechargeable batteries ran out mid game and then I popped in some alkaline that I typically use for the thermostat.

Thank God these controllers and the Steam controllers use AA batteries. I just cycle between two sets and always have a set charged and ready to pop in. When the batteries quit I can pop them out and have a new set installed in about 30 seconds. That's quicker than I'd probably be able to plug the thing in with a cable.
And I stay wireless. All the time. I can see the attraction of controllers with built-in batteries if you're a parent getting a console for the kids because not having to keep track of rechargeable batteries is one less thing to worry about, but if you're a reasonably sensible and organised adult the benefits of quickly replaceable AA batteries are massive. Built-in batteries also have much smaller capacities, whereas a couple of good AA batteries will have at least double the charge and thus need changed/charged much less frequently.
What annoys me most is the sneering manner in which people use the word 'still'. Like using AA batteries is in some way outmoded and that Microsoft should just 'get with the times'. Using these batteries is not outdated. It's a choice that I am glad Microsoft and Valve made with their respective controllers and I very much hope they continue to.

Thank god it doesn't to be honest. My PS4 controllers are always going on charge after 5 or 6 hours play whereas the Microsoft ones last 20-30 hours easily on 2 AA's

everyone to their own , but a £100 for a controller is a bit high , no wonder microsoft are worth billions , yet when you look at the price of a normal controller then this is double the price well just over double , but if it helps people with their gaming experience then who are we to knock it good luck if you can afford it and get some fun out of it , myself personally i think microsoft are just making more money on something they should gove with the consoles

There are batteries and docks for the standard controllers that would probably work with this the advantage with batteries is that at least you can change them mid session if you need to. I have two DS4s and a dock and the amount of times my son has played games and not put the controller back on the dock and the pad has been nearly flat, if I didn't have the second pad I would have to fart about with a cable and I don't have one that is long enough at the moment. For my XB1/360 I have a few sets of Eneloop batteries in a case and kind of rotate them between pad box and charger, I have got enough sets that I can forget to charge a couple and it won't matter straight away. The have a much better capacity than the PS4 pads too.

The controller has a switch so you can have two different button configurations.
-Each button is completely remappable
-You can change the responsive curve of the analogue sticks
-You can shorten the travel of the triggers
-There are four finger triggers on the back that you can map to any button you want. (So for me I have a finger trigger mapped to the flare button and another to the spot button in Battlefield 4 and makes flying helicopters that bit easier)
-It comes with interchangeable analogue sticks and D-Pads

The attitude of some people about this makes me laugh, its a quality product and for people play games a fair bit, this is a great purchase.
Apparently a tonne of sweets is fine to buy, or drop 5 to 8 grand on a lease car. Or buy a phone for £300 instead of one that does the exact same for £100, purchases are completely subjective.
