Always this price. Great bargain though, I find if you put them in a bag for life they will keep for a couple of days so you don't have to eat all at once. Asda does 2 full size baguettes for £1, but I prefer the Tesco option

Get the cheese topped ones.
Cut slices through it but not all the way through, mix some crushed garlic (out of the jars type) with some butter and stuff it in the cuts. Whack it in the oven for 10 mins and its the best garlic bread you'll taste plus its much cheaper than the ready made garlic baguettes from all the supermarkets and alot bigger

it's been this price for a very long time. however I don't find it cost effective for me. I buy 4 but being so big I only go through about 2 before they go manky. they are best on day of purchase so unless you can eat 4 very large batons in a day it's not the offer for you.

I stock up with these Batons (Tiger n normal, with cheese also an option) when I find em in a TESCO in-store bakery, (not the franchise types) at 45p each or 4 fer a £1, and have done for over a year now. better than the ASDA option (if you have a choice) since you can pop the Tesco batons (pre bagged) straight in the freezer. Yer need ter put a bit more work into the ASDA batons deal (at 2 fer a £1), but as a bonus you can top n tail em (handy for soup) then cut them in half if batons are your thing.
