i don't think 500gb will last very long at all, then you'll have to start deleting games to put new ones on.

Was going to order but will wait until released, if it stays at this price it may have a beneficial impact on reducing prices on similar items from other manufacturers sources. Thanks.

It`s available at Ebuyer at a much higher price. Don`t think you will see one much cheaper anytime soon...

Honestly don't see that happening at all, with the pound to dollar being what it is prices are more likely to go up, this is super cheap too, at least 1/4 off the price of another decently branded ssd

Amazon done a "Pre-Order" offer a while back for a SD card, amazing price offered on the back of it was a great price but a very long wait..... When they got the stock in months later, they cancelled all of the orders saying there was a pricing error...... So not voting but not wasting my time either - despite needing one.

I remember that card. I ordered one, didn't get any notification that it was cancelled. Checked my order history and the item wasn't there.
Knew it was a miss price, but was in it to win (lose)it.

Users who choose to take an SSD over the default HDD of the PS4 Pro can look forward to speeds ramping up to 6 Gbps. To put it in perspective, the first PS4 model featured a SATA II interface, meaning that the fastest speed it could aspire to was 3 Gbps.

But it's not sustained read / write speeds that make ssd fast, so it doesn't really matter.

WD Blue was associated with budget end HDDs for notebooks, I assume same applies for this SSD. I'd stick with tried and tested reliable desktop SSDs like EVOs.
It's a good price for 500GB though.

Thanks for replying to my pm and sending me the discount code Frank
This is an old Sandisk X400 in a snazzy blue box, albeit with an updated firmware, There aren't many 500GB SSDs slower than this one.

The fact that the PS4 Pro is Sata 3 vs the original PS4's sata2 interface

Ofcourse it matters! Why would Sony of bothered if it didn't? One of the main reasons I will probably be getting a pro

31 Oct 16#46
Given they are generally supplied with mechanical disks it won't have been a major part of the plan for the Pro. It is likely that it was a no cost option on the newer AMD chipset rather than a specified upgrade Sony requested.
