Vegemite is a bit more waxy whereas Marmite is more sticky. Vegemite lacks the very aggressive salty punch on your tastebuds which Marmite has. For some, Vegemite could be considered milder and therefore more palatable, but I find it a little bit sickley. The underlying flavour between the two is broadly the same.

Both are veggie, but in my opinion vegemite is gross.
I'm a massive marmite fan (or supermarket own brands as they are quite similar) but I couldn't finish my vegemite jar.

I prefer Vegemite, mainly because it's not as sticky as Marmite, so easier to spread.
