As the title states, many different refurbished sennheiser headphones/earphones/gaming headsets sold direct from Sennheiser with up to 70% off, most around 50% of i think.. I don't know if these are repaired returns or just open box returns but I'd guess at the latter.

Below are a few examples of whats on offer, there's a lot more using the link.

HD7 DJ was £ 229.99 now £ 159.99
MM 500 X was £ 219.99 now £ 159.99
RS 185 was £ 299.99 now £ 176.99
URBANITE was £ 119.99 now £ 59.99
URBANITE XL was £ 149.99 now £ 89.99
HD 630VB was £ 399.95 now £ 269.99
HD 650 was £ 399.99 now £ 249.99
HD 700 was £ 499.99 now £ 319,99
CX890I was £ 119.99 now £ 49.99
I can't comment on the quality of each one but i regularly read that sennheiser are one of the best headphone producers out there. I own the momentum wireless over ear headphones and after a hell of a lot of research and testing lots of headphones, these were the best for my needs/tastes by far and £175 for the momentum over ear seems a bargain to me?
Comments saying "£xxx for headphones???" will be frowned upon. You get what you pay for.
Opinions on good headphones will be appreciated however comments recommending beats will be punishable by death..

Can't recommend the momentum over ear enough. Awesome all round sound and not too much bass.Recently got a bargain price of £138 new from Amazon, next day back to £199!

Headroom was awesome! being a Queen fan getting the chance to visit Metropolis studio was something I will never forget. Chilling out in studio 1 listening to Queen on high end planar magnetic headphones!
The B&W p5 s2 cans were one of the biggest surprises at Headroom for me that day. Sure there was more expensive headphones on display but I was blown away with how good they were for portable cans.
As someone who uses Grado headphones every day, I was expecting great things from their high end cans. However, I was a little surprised that out of every headphone I heard that day it was the Sennheiser HD800 I fell in love with!

You get what you pay for £300 for two speakers and some wire, while I agree, its still a couple of speakers!

I haven't heard the S2 model though apparently they're an improvement. I certainly wouldn't blind buy a B&W headphone again but I'd be happy to audition them (along with the P7 and newly released P9).
Did you enjoy the Headroom exhibition? I'd love to go one year.

The discount on the Momentum over ears is a little disappointing, would be nice to replace the B&W P5 for portable use (great build and comfort but rotten sound). For home listening it's Focal Elear all the way!

Nothing quite like the HD598 for £60 from Amazon.fr a while back.
Heat for this though.

All versions of the wired M2 are £199 new at Sevenoaks. Got mine price matched at John Lewis. Loving them
If you 'get what you pay for' why are you recommending buying headsets at over 50% off, their value most be less than 50% of the value of the new ones. It's a pointless remark. All the posts here are for things that are less the normal price, so do you always get an inferior product?
And if you pay twice as much for anything is it twice as good? Obviously not

Oh dear. The momentums are tempting. Does anyone know if they're tight clamping? I had to sell my HD25 as they were exacerbating my TMD, the things crushed my face in they were that tight.

Overpriced to start with, I got a brand new pair 75% off rrp in supermarket clearance, for what I paid they were OK but I wouldn't be impressed if id paid the original price, I'll give it a lukewarm

I find them surprisingly comfortable, though I'm sure I'd change my mind in a warmer climate.
The leather pads are nice and soft and the headband causes no hot spots (The drivers are terrible though).

edit...ok so I don't know how to post image links but let me tell you, big frown thrown in your direction
Why not? Personally, I'd rather pay cash but each to their own...

Is really down to personal preferences. Also HD800 is very picky about the source. So from audio records, DAC to amps. You need to chose carefully for it. However, if you really like bass, the Hd800s obviously better in that apartment

Aren't these like normal prices?
I couldn't find a single bargain amongst the mid/high range models. I wouldn't mind something like a HD598/558 to complement my HD650s but not at that price.
I really don't see anything remotely 70% off?

No you not, unless you like to heave headphones with no bass and you will listen only audiophile grade music, vocals and classics, piano, guitar.
But generally HD800 suck, hd650 far superior for everyday use.

Yeah , it is a lot of work , that may be the reason why not a lot of manufacturers do refurbished
MBeeching
9 Oct 16#17
I'd be very surprised, Sennheiser are not a boutique audio supplier. The Germans probably put them through a UV sterilisation process too. Perhaps the extensive work involved is why you see so few manufacturers offering officially refurbished headphones?
alhrona
9 Oct 16#16
you never know what happens there , they may not replace pads/tips. I will rather pay more and get brand new. Refurbished goes alright with phones , laptops and TV's/monitors but not with headphones
MBeeching
9 Oct 161#15
That's fair comment. There are strict rules with headphones and most retailers will not allow returns.
Sennheiser stock extensive spares for most components and will likely replace pads/tips during refurbishment.

They will be just open box returns most probably, but Yeh I'd rather get a new pair for a little extra cost.

Tried this in August. It is real nice but is not like £50k nice though.... so even 50% discount I will not buy one (perhaps buy for 50% discount and sell it out right away )
