On the TCB app it asks for you to scan barcode yet on my Tesco receipt there is no barcode to scan.

Can anyone please enlighten me on how to solve this problem.

Yes,I've been using Shoptize on my S2 without problems for about 2 years.
It's only recently when they upgraded the software that it's stopped working.

I haven't made it as far as being able to snap my receipt. I bought a number of the products last week and scanned all the barcodes successfully. However when I clicked snap your receipt it asks me to say which supermarket it is from. I scroll to the right one but cannot see how to "select" it. I've tried holding down on the name and the tick at the top but neither method does anything. Anyone else had this problem? How do you get through to the camera?

I have reported it as a technical fault but the response has been about making sure I keep the receipt within the green lines, missing the issue that it won't even take me to the camera.

I've so far failed to upload a single receipt using TCB on my Galaxy S3 :disappointed: It fails in a similar way to a recent version of Shopitize, but I was able to install an old version of Shopitize, which still works fine.

Major disappointment, as this week all the best offers for me are on TCB, which I can't use...

Oh dear - the TCB App fails bigtime on receipt for me. Is taking the photos with the same BROKEN interface that Shopitize inflicted on us recently (before they moved on to naked camera use), and then the Unrecognised is providing a RESNAP graphic, it just isn't a button that does anything in any time period I can recognise - though an "oops something went wrong" appears about 5 minutes later.

This is a MONUMENTAL fail. It's bad enough that Shopitize are now continually messing up their own App's camera work - which USED to work quite acceptably; now powering someone else's system so incompetently is REALLY bad! This looks like an App destined for the scrapheap from the start!

(BOTH of them should have grown up enough to accept scanned images to cope with their inability to do do proper App - eg as CheckoutSmart have. The new Shop-m-i-um App (any reference to which gets auto-censored by HKUD) puts all the others to shame in terms of simple/fast/clear use, notification & payback; just a shame its offers are far more restricted/infrequent!

PS: There is a place to report a "Fault" in the TCB App, which despite appearing greyed out does go to a box to submit a report; though its text is formatted as one everlasting line of text rather than word wrapping on screen! Clicking submit says its been submitted but who knows. And is a technical report enough to get them to be concerned about my missing cashback or just about their poorly written code ? ARGH!

Anyone else had problems when taking photo of the receipts? Keeps saying unrecognised when I try.

​Glad you figured it out in the end mk-donald. It is all a bit up in the air with the offers being split between both apps. I'm hoping they're just testing this out for a short while before going back to normal. Yes the Leerdammer at Waitrose for £1 was an error... :laughing:

Last week it was showing unrecognised for me each time, at least 8 times, gave up and sent them for review. Assuming something has gone splat with the "new" bit of the app.

Any idea when this will include online shopping as there are lots of people like myself who can't get out and have no choice but to shop online.
