Not sure if this national, but I saw this at my local Tesco in Kennington SE11.
Never used this before, so I'm not sure what they're like. Fantastic value for money.

I'm bored with spotty geeks going on about how inadequate the gigabits are. Most normal people are just not arsed. They want a decent (and compact) phone for a good price. This is just that.

I was just thinking the same thing. What do two grebes have to do with a Moto G Tesco deal?

That's rude, affordability and what one wants to spend are two rather different scenarios, frankly excluding food I want 1/3 to 50% discount on good proven brand name - generally 50%, I let shareholders take the hit, not my bank accounts.

Get your eyes tested, they are Grebes dancing on the water, cause that's what Grebes do. They look nothing like Chinese Geese, except for the fact that they are both birds.

Managed to get one at Tesco Metro Dalgety Bay.. Sticker showed £99.. on scanning at check out comes up at £50.. also used a £4 Clubcard Voucher so £46 all in.... Do check the Metro stores if your looking for one.

The problem with low internal memory phones (even though you can move a lot of apps to the SD card) is that apps that don't allow you to move them, eg Email, Facebook, etc, eventually gobble up a lot of the memory and you find emails and messages won't load any more. Wish there was a fix for this - maybe rooting?
Not slagging it off, as my mum has this phone, but she is a very light user. It's a well-made phone, takes great pictures, and I love the "Gestures" function.

What a lot of nonsense..... this phone is good for anyone. Read any reviews and they really rate it. I could afford an iphone or similar but I have more sense and buy something that works as good at MUCH lower price

Brilliant price for a top phone..... why anyone needs a £800 iphone when you can get something like this with top reviews is beyond me

I bet you think your black & white TV and the wind-up windows on your car are 'perfectly adequate'.
This phone is only good for people who can't afford anything better, not because it's a good phone.

Its not 'minimum' wage they are on that's the point. Staff should not get first dibs, only a % of stock should be allocated to staff in each store delivery.
it wont be long till Tesco pay minimum wage to floor staff, except management and Tesco fat cats, clubcard will cease to exist as minimum wage goes up and up each year Tesco will cut cut cut, subsidised canteen will go, free shares, etc... got billions of debt to pay off.
In 5/6 years I expect Tesco will be up for sale, shareholders cannot subsidise minimum wage and make a good return, a Tesco sale will though.

ok, so minimum wage is around £7, tesco pays at least £7.60 - fantastic. so there are people who get paid even less those at tesco, and your point is?

The pay ? Tesco pay above minimum, rather some cash strapped care assistants who wipe butt for a living on minimum wage for a private company get them over Tisco shelf filling/checkout staff.

Been in numerous Scots stores and saw this, out of stock with a Sep 26/7/8th delivery...you bet staff are all over this with their discount too! No chance most customers will get one, in one store at customer services I saw some in there when the store door opened to be told they were 'reserved'...yeah till the end of shift no doubt!
Usual Tesco staff shenanigans

£50 for a 1gb/8gb phone is about par for the course. You really wouldn't want a 1gb/8gb these days unless it really is the case that the buyer can't afford another £40 for a (much) better spec phone.
