The "Gamepad" is the Wii U controller with a screen on it. In all games and media its referred to as the "Wii U Gamepad" or just Gamepad for short!

if you already have one game pad with your wii u then I wouldn't recommend you buy another game pad. you only really need one. the 2nd player can use a wii remote in almost every multiplayer game on the wii U.
just buy a wii remote and steering wheel, and it'll probably be best to buy an official Nintendo Wii remote because syncing can sometimes be difficult with third party accessories

The Wii U comes with the gamepad controller (the one with the screen on). You can use your old Wii controllers (wiimote) / nunchucks / classic controllers if you have any for extra players. The steering wheel needs a wiimote inside it to work. You can pick up generic Wii U wireless gamepads on Ebay for a tenner.

Voted cold as someone posted a link to this game for cheaper. I know some people like the original cover, but this site is for bargain hunting and that should be the priority.

But why is it your decision how others should treat this website? HUKD isnt just for low priced tat. Otherwise all Blu Ray deals would be cold because you can get them cheaper on DVD.
The OP has posted the cheapest price you can find the original cover art version of this game; which to collectors is far better than any Nintendo Selects deals. Not saying theres an obligation to vote hot, but you should omit to vote rather than vote cold.

I have a question on Wii U I have ordered the Wii U premium 32gb with Mario Kart 8 in used condition for £149.99. My question is can someone please tell me does it come with 1 controller in Game pad or is it 2 controllers if so can I buy any sort of controllers to play Mario Kart with 2 players or does it only work with game pads. I also wanted to buy 2 steering wheels to play the game does Wii steering wheel works with Wii u. If I buy a steering wheel do I need to buy a remote to put in the middle of the steering wheel or can it work without one.

You should've been on here asking for a cheap link for a wii u, not accessories. £149 for a used mario kart 8 bundle, I paid £170 for the same thing brand new about 14 month ago.

I'd imagine it will come with the gamepad only. I doubt it would include a wii remote and nunchuck too. most likely you'd have to buy them separately but I'm not sure where the best price you could get one. when you do shop for them you'll notice that there's original wii remotes and ones that contain 'motion plus" technology. you don't have to buy the motion plus version which would likely be more expensive, as the ones without motion plus will work with Mario Kart.
as for your multiplayer question, player one can use the gamepad, and then you can buy a wii remote and wheel for player two. I wouldn't recommend using a wheel though. I had wheels for the original version on the wii and we ditched them pretty quickly and used a more accurate control method. our favourite controller choice is the wii remote with nunchuck attached for steering, to me it feels like the game was designed for this control method. the steering wheels are just a gimmick

It depends as 1 of the 2 pictures shows the original case which has been £42.99. Yet the other shows the select case which hasn't. If it's the original case version then it's a very good deal.
