Just rang them and got my money back for Star Wars. They will not honor it, so no point in having them hold onto my money.

Does my head in when this occurs! Fine if it's an error, just say so and say you are not honouring it! But, to say it's not in stock and then three hours later have it available to dispatch in 24 hours but for 6 times the price (a ludicrous and insane price btw) is just insulting. Makes you look like either a bunch of scammers desperate to generate traffic (and using a appalling method to do so) or a bunch of deceiving tools! Either way, the 15% off voucher is worth nothing - but still valued at far more than their customer service!

Another website for me to avoid in the future!

I just been informed by a friend that trading standards are looking into the issue as they are advertised it not in stock and then cancelled and saying a stock issue and then it's back in stock misleading on there behalf

That set shows as 74.99 now on the site. This is all strange when you look at thdir tweet about bargain boxsets or whatever. How is 74.99 good!

Mine is also the DV version and is still showing as being 'Ready to Ship.'

Just to add my two cents, my orders of Bond and the Eastwood boxset have been refunded. Like many of the posters above, I ordered these when they were O.O.S (they seemed to be so from the very beginning of the sale)

Thankfully, my Star Wars order is holding firm.

Not worth ever using this site again, the prices other than these deals are terrible, I find it impossible to believe in pricing errors in this day and age, it was a gimmick to increase traffic but doubt it's worked, if anything it's done the opposite

All my orders were cancelled (they said they couldn't get them from their suppliers). Disappointed, but it was worth a shot.

If you did not use Paypal it will take as long as your Bank takes i guess.

The Star Wars Saga hasn't been refunded, it's showing as ready to ship and was in-stock for most of the duration of this deal going live. So fingers crossed it gets honoured.

Refunded for Star Trek Stardate Collection - spotted after ordering that some other box sets were abnormally expensive so possibly something could have gotten very backwards when entering into the system! Unfortunate but will look again as they do have good offers now and again and support independent bookstores :smiley:

It would be helpful if people mentioned what they were getting refunds for exactly. Some of these were not in stock to start off with.

Makes me laugh all of these people acting all hurt over companies not honouring too good to be true deals. They owe you nost and it's a good luck lottery to start.

Acornguy - It was the HP set they refunded for me and it was in stock. The haven't refunded the Clint Eastwood set (yet...).

I'll probably order some BluRays from there, particularly as some of those box sets are well priced - although, some of them are well overpriced, like the X-Men collection, which you can pick up on Amazon for under £15!

However, I'm more interested in the books - they are slightly more expensive than WH Smith or Amazon, but they give a cut of every sale to independent bookshops, which, for me, is a good thing - and there is 6.3% back on TopcCashBack for books, and 4.2% on films. So it's a win-win :smile:

If true, what about the poor fella who has to send who knows how many cancellation emails. I think the negatives outweigh the positives in this instance. Their Trust Pilot only has six reviews, this wouldn't do wonders for their business.
