I bought this TVs from £754 delivered from the co op

Thank you. I think I am going to probably go for the lg 55uh850v if price gets down to £800, £900 like previous years model. I like passive 3d and looked good in shops.

It is, but if you are an audiophile and would like to have a proper home theater setup, I wouldn't recommend it.

But if you are on a limited budget, but want to enjoy movies/music without breaking your bank, this is a perfect addition to your living room.

I was considering this but given various reports of all Sony models below the XD93 model having only a HDR approximation (wider colour gamut, but lacking sufficient local brightness) achieved through software not hardware has given me reservation. Plus add to that the juddering issues being experienced across the range remain unresolved. The big positive is that this model (being the most recent release in the range) appears to have improved the input lag. All up in the air until someone gives it a proper review though! Will skip this attractive offer and hope a review lands before Black Friday.

Is this better than a sony kd55x8509c from last year or should Iook for a good second hand deal on that? I have tried google a lot and only spec comparisons. Thanks in advance

The soundbar is around the £200 mark not £300.

It seems this TV is the UK equivalent of the American X800D (Which they only get 43" and 49" size options for)

I realise this is instore only - not sure exactly how it works but Richer Sounds offer a Quidco instore cashback rate of 3% so potentially a further £30 back there as well, although not guaranteed.

Don't think it does pass through as only has 1 ARC HDMI

I can get this from Amazon Marketplace for £118 so very tempted but it needs to be able to pass 4k.

Also does it do 4k passthrough like the Sony HT-CT381 as I can't find anything that say's it does but I assumed it was just the colour that was different between the two.

Yes, I tested quite a few in currys and also soundbases - this was my favourite within my budget

I did however get it from a local store for £200, they currently have it for £220 Here

I have the Sony X85C, I'm sure they're both very similar. I'm not a big fan of Android TV since it runs quite slowly which makes it very annoying to use. Although, Kodi works well on it which is good but everything else feels slow and buggy.

Is the soundbar worth buying on it's own?

I have the sound bar, not the TV and I like it alot, I will happily answer any questions

Same deal at John Lewis already posted although extra year warranty with RS. No reviews anywhere though!
