What is everyones opinion on Sonos now that Google and Amazon both have "smart versions".
I understand that the Echo does play music and that Googles version will too - is this massively superior?

Sonos is still top of the pile if you want music alone, but there's no voice control.
Once Alexa integrates with Sonos next year a Dot would complement it nicely.

Can't beat Sonos for great sound quality. I have 2 play 1's and a play 3 grouped together and love them.
Looking to add the sound bar for the tv soon:)

Ive got both Amazon echo and Sonos play 1. There is no comparison at all - Sonos blows the echo out of the water in every way for music - clarity, bass, volume...
Sonos have announced you will be able to control their speakers directly via echo voice commands next year.

Sonos blows all them away just ordered a play bar for £540 as the NEW10 works on all Sonos credit card has been hammered wish hadn't seen the offer

I appreciate hard to forsee but is this the time to jump on board pricewise? I have an aging 5.1 system I'd like to upgrade to wireless. sound bar and two play1 is 900....is there any realistic opposition to sonos?
