Spotted this set of 18 glasses, 3 sizes in the box, ribbed, nice quality by entrance in Merthyr store. Priced £3. Was in need of glasses as my girlfriend smashed all we had in the house - long story...
At the till they came at £1.5.
Very similar set of 4 costs £1 - £2 so here you go 18 for £1.5
Plenty left in Merthyr 50+ boxes.

I only tell you that when I came back from shopping, she said "yea, new glasses, you are so predictable".
I also brought some cat food, there was no comment, but the cat jumped right at me so he was expecting that too!

Love it!
I too am immature... As well as swear words, I Love drawing a cock and balls on display "etch a sketches" and also setting all cooking timers to go off within the next ten minutes (once I've safely exited the store).

For £1.50 for these glasses, it's cheaper to replace the girlfriend.

I used to buy these when our budget was low, in my 20s .
they do smash very easily while washing, ie. when they hit the tap when washing up .

I think the broken glasses were under a little more velocity than just knocking a tap.......well that's the impression given......I guess they don't fly so well????? Glad you're alive to tell the tale.

That's where you're wrong. It is an F, just the angle i took the photo and the font is confusing

I think those mugs are from their Grumpy Christmas display -- they originally spelled "F. Y. SANTA". :stuck_out_tongue:

Glad to see there are more that think like that. I was in Debenhams a few weeks ago and spotted their selection of alphabet mugs and thought it would be fun to re-arrange them, but as I got closer noticed someone had beaten me to it :sunglasses:
The cooking timers are fun, but more so when you can retreat to a safe distance then watch others shoppers or staff in that section as they keep going off at small intervals.
One day I will probably grow up, but today is not that day :stuck_out_tongue:

thank you for your opinion that £1.50 for a set of 18 glasses is not worth it.
