Seagate Expansion portable drive, add-on storage for your PC
The Seagate Expansion portable drive is compact and perfect for taking with you on the go. Add more storage space to your computer instantly and take large files with you when you travel.
Set-up is straightforward: simply connect a single USB cable and you are ready to go. The drive is powered from the USB cable, so there is no need for an external power supply. Also, it is automatically recognised by the Windows operating system, so there is no software to install and nothing to configure. Saving files is easy - simply drag and drop.
Take advantage of the fast data transfer speeds with the USB 3.0 interface by connecting to a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port. USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0 for additional system compatibility.

It's this:
Seagate Spinpoint M9t 2Tb 2.5" Internal Hard Drive ST2000LM003
I have got 2 for my servers. Just need to be careful about Head Parking. The first one I installed was upto about 3000 in under 2 days. Found a util to turn it off, but it forgets it on a power cycle, so had to write a script to run at startup to set it again.

Does anyone know what the actual HD is inside these?
Wondering how reliable they are... need something stable to be running in a server.
Thanks

Heat, great price for prime members. I'm not one so bought this from Argos a few days ago and got the £5 gift voucher.
Took about 15 mins to install into PS4 and get the console up and running. Takes ages after that to reinstall games and updates however.

HDD tech seems to have stalled with helium and SMR increasing cost there is no real way to bring more bang for buck without a good bump in cost. Not discounting the currency situation which will make things only worse for imported goods with low margins this Xmas :-( Hoping for a good Black Friday but see it being a flop like last year with no significant real savings, or those that were, very few and far between.

£62.99 at Argos, plus get a £5 voucher for spending over £50. Effectively the same price as this deal if you're going to spend the voucher on something. Might be worthwhile if you're not Amazon Prime or want it today.

Yup yup. I fitted one that I bought from Argos about 2wks ago. The case on these is a little harder to crack open than the older models but nothing a sharp knife can't fix.

yes it can for sure. as the other person mentioned you have to open the case but once you have done that, easy
