I just assumed that you were asking if it has the usb/sata connection soldered on like some of the usb 3 ones do.
Mines the 2015 model and I've not been able to prise it open yet

No, you don't grasp what I'm meaning. I want to remove the drive to fit in my laptop, which has usb2. I know usb3 products are backwards compatible as they are, but I'm wanting to know if anyone has experience of removing the drive.

Are these usb2 or 3? I want a larger drive for my laptop but the ones I've got are all usb3 and won't fit

USB 3 but it says it works with USB 2. Not sure if the HDD can be used outside the enclosure yet.

I picked up an iPod from Hyson Green this morning lol.
They also had one of these hard drives on the shelf but after reading the reviews on Amazon, I left it. Bought a different Toshiba one that had been reduced to £30 instead, which had better reviews

Found one in the Coventry walsgrave store last night. Also had a couple of iPods and some apple cables and adapters marked down too.
