yes they are! got the s6 for £200. did everything as advised, canx airtime within 2 days of getting it. one month later they took £580 from my account in error as they said it was because I had ended the contract early. obviously I hit the roof, took about 8 phone calls before I got someone who knew what they were talking about. had to contact my bank to do a direct debit indemnity to get the cash back. whole carry on took over 2 weeks to sort. Never again.

As much as I want this, I can't help but think it's not worth the risk. The previous suffering by other HUKD members (attempting a similar deal) is a warning sign that this can go horribly wrong. For some that means a adversely affected credit rating, whilst for othersmit means large sums of money being taken from their accounts (without permission or knowledge) and an enduring battle with O2 to try and recover it.
I'm not voting either way on this but if it were on price alone, I'd vote hot

I've just done this to get a Z5. Cancelled the airtime on the second day and paid the device off. Just had my first bill and they've charged me full line rental, which they said they wouldn't. My online bill shows that they were going to charge £491 'early cancellation charge' on my next bill, until I rang them yesterday and they said they would amend the mistake. We'll see...

I've done the refresh deal twice and this is a good price for the edge. My advice is to make sure you have some spare cash in your account as o2 will most likely charge you extra and it'll take a few days to get it back from them

I've used o2 refresh this way twice now. First time they tried to charge me the full line rental but as soon as I brought it up with customer services the bill was cancelled. Second time everything went through fine so seems to be a bit mixed and dependent on the customer service agent you get when you cancel the contract

o2 refresh charged me £270ish for "early termination" charge on the airtime.
Spoke to them and they immediately said it was a mistake, I really got the impression that it happens a lot as I did not mention what the actual problem was, they just looked at my bill when I asked.
They told me to wait 5 to 10 working days for them to give me it back, they can't do it any quicker apparently.
So yeah, just beware of that...

Does anyone know if the phone will be locked to O2?
This happend to me but it was resolved very quickly. Cancelling the phone was very straightforward only took one quick call. Then 2 weeks later £400 was taken out of my account and made me overdrawn. I called o2 to check and they said it was a system error and they would put in a form to refund it, which would take up to 2 weeks! Quick call to first direct and they cancelled it that day.

Looks like this is back in stock. Samsung S7 like new perfect for £360
The S7 onyx black on PAYG was delivered yesterday - £312. On the box it says grade B. I gave it a quick check and I cannot spot a single mark on it. I will look again in better lighting conditions, but so far it does not look like any grade B I have seen before.
Also, the phone looks to be unlocked and no O2 splash screen on startup. I tried my wife's TalkMobile sim and it worked fine. I will test with my 3 sim when I get a nano sim card.

Total amount payable for device=£399.99

Hi,
I already have an O2 12 month Sim Only plan. Is it possible for me to take out this deal? My idea would be that I would cancel the air time as soon as I get the phone and then just use my SIM only on the phone but not sure if that if you are allowed to enter another contract with O2 if you already have a contract ongoing...
Thanks all.
Crossbow
16 Nov 16#98
The best possible advice you could get about how to transfer/combine the present plan to use with this deal would be to post your query in the official O2 Forums in this subsection. You could also contact O2 Support directly to ask what's the most beneficial &/or cheapest way to go about this.
is it best to get the unlock code before cancelling airtime or is it ok to cancel as long as the request has been made?

I ordered my "perfect" S7 Edge and collected it from my local O2 shop on Wednesday. It was shrink wrapped in a plain box and only came with a USB lead. Careful inspection showed that it was, indeed, perfect.
I tried requesting an unlock code online, but it didn't recognise the IMEI number. Put the SIM card in the phone, made a call, and the IMEI showed up and I was able to request the unlock code.
I then rang up (you can't make a payment by Live Chat), paid off the remainder of the Device charge, and then cancelled my Airtime. All done and dusted (though I'll be keeping a close eye on my bank account for any money going out).
Only problem is that I requested the unlock code on Wednesday afternoon, and it's now Friday evening and there's no sign of it. Other people on here have said that they got their code in a "couple of days". Is it too early for me to start worrying?
UPDATE: Unlock code arrived by email this morning (Saturday). Put a Vodafone SIM in the handset, entered the unlock code, and it's now unlocked. So it's now all sorted - a perfect Edge S7 with 12 month warranty and no worries about whether it's stolen or dodgy for only £400 (as long as my bank account doesn't take a hit somewhere down the line!!)
