Good...but price not crazy enough for me. Shame there's a lack of these watches with built-in sims from the likes of Apple and Samsung. The cheap Chinese rip-offs seem to be able to include sim slots and sell for sub £50 fairly easily. I know they are flimsy and software is lacking, but it tells you that the big boys are holding back and overcharging.

What would you need the Sim for as dont really want to talk into my watch and it picks up everything else and I can send texts etc from it as it is?
Yh I have been tempted by the Chinese branded ones. Lack of info on battery life and not being fully waterproof is a turn off. Looking forward to the Gear 3 but not the price tag.

I bought a Korean one pre the UK launch when there was an offer on ebay. It works fine but stopped updating the firmware after a while and I keep getting notifications on my phone to update it. Brought it to a Samsung shop and they said that this was a known problem with imports and I'd need to send it to Korea to get it updated!

I bought the classic version of this last year for £200 and have been very happy with it, the battery life is great, I charge it every morning for 20 minutes or so while getting ready for work and I never have to worry about it. Design wise I can't really comment as the classic is different, but other than that they are exactly the same. The only downside is it's not running Android Wear. I wouldn't pay £200 for it now(the John Lewis link) as it's quite old and I believe the Samsung Gear S3 will be coming very soon, which should drive the price of this one down.

Stock clearing for the S3 arrival next month. That said, this was praised for its small size and the S3 is much bigger (but includes GPS) so not better for everyone.

I picked up a Moto 360 2nd gen for 160 from Amazon Warehouse, new in a damaged box, it is a much better watch imo, runs Android Wear, bluetooth to your phone for skype, camera, spotify, can answer texts or calls, can google voice search, check Maps or dictate messages for facebook messenger to send for you
charges in half an hour, lasts the whole day, nice wireless docking station included, and looks fantastic, stainless steel and cognac leather
this is a gimmick imo, how can a smartwatch not even run Android Wear? jeez

Last black friday the LG Urbane went for £129.99, prob one of the best Android Watches, so i would keep an eye out this year.

A quick google finds it for £129 right here you have to remember that was a year ago, things lose value very quickly in the tech world
I wouldn't pay more than 100 for the Urbane now, just wait for Black Friday, this is to tempt people now when it'll probably be sub 100 in November
I try to compare the likes of those Casio watches (built with an electronic board/ Bluetooth inside)...
I feel it is like money down the drain?
Sorry to be negative, I m not voting.

Yeah that site looks reputable  cheapest I can find from a real retailer is £149.99.

If by reputable you mean Amazon, then sure
The point remains, the Urbane is a little over £129 at normal price now, as the Urbane 2 is pushing the price down, wait til Black Friday/January sales and these will be replaced by new gen smartwatches and will lose another 30-40% of their value, exactly the same happened with the Moto 360 1st gen, and now you can pick one up to 60-70 quid

I have one of these - it was a gift from a fantastic relative who got a bonus just before my birthday.
I would never have bought one but have to say absolutely love it and can see the use of it now. Bought a metal strap with connectors from ebay for around £12 and it looks great (I hate smart watches that look like smartwatches)
Get all notifications, health apps, heart monitor, send texts, control music and podcast playback on the phone and lots more that I havent got to yet

How good is your connectivity on your watch if you ever travel without your phone?
Torkijo
26 Oct 16#23
Only there if your connected to wifi and your phone is on wherever it is. But havent had that as the phone tends to sit with the wallet nowadays and goes everywhere.
To be honest I would not buy one at full price but at this price (although I think its sold out) I was looking to get one for my wife. I dont NEED a smart watch, but its really nice and it has replaced my regular watch (a good Citizen one that have worn for 10+ years).

Found they are doing the Samsung Gear S2 for £149.99 - which is still the cheapest online: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=samsung+gear+s2&tbm=shop
