Blenders are just as good if you want to just mash stuff up and don't care about the heat destroying the enzymes. But I think people buy these as they want a healthy drink with nutrients preserved.

Just buy a blender for a bleedin tenner from Argos. These things are nonsense, a believe me, somebody I live with has bought one of them despite us having 2 blenders already that are actually better. And one is a Kenwood Chefette I got from a carboot for a quid!
It is still a good price, just not as great as it might first seem when it is 'reduced' from £99.99.
If however the 20% off code were working, two for £27.99 each is a bargain and would have sorted out a couple of Christmas presents :smiley:
