Bought some in store today and can't tell the difference between this and the more expensive varieties.
Also 20p cheaper than the Tesco basics equivalent.

Actually is hasn't always been this price.
A few weeks ago it was 25p and you can always pay 50p for the Tecso equivalent.
As a helper I would have thought that you would be well positioned to know that not everybody knows the price and availability of every item in every store and at every retailer.
So to somebody, a deal can be something hot to them because they see it as useful.
Rather part of what HUKD is about.
Even a pound deal post in Poundland will be hot because to somebody it will represent good value and not something that they may have known about.
Good deal, although the better ones do actually taste better if you know what I mean. You should also try the one in Waitrose which is not bad for the price.

i read the ingredients on some from asda about a year ago. Included hydrogenated fat so I took it back for refund. never buy or eat hydrogenated fats.
For a bog standard lemon curd this is passable. It's not good though but it is great for baking or kids. Still gets heat though.

Seconded! Once you have made it yourself nothing else comes close!
Plus I can make it dairy free so it's a win win

Slightly OT, but has anyone ever seen Lemon Cheese around these days? Not seen it for years, and used to love it on toast.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson are lying in bed one night. Sherlock runs off to the kitchen and comes back with a jar of lemon curd. Quickly he turns Dr Watson over onto his knees and starts smearing it around his bum.
"Sherlock, what the hell are you doing?" Dr Watson gasps.
Sherlock smiles and replies.
"It's a lemon entry my dear Watson". :stuck_out_tongue:

God, I miss rag-mags. My mam used to buy them for me when I was about 11 and at school I'd be like the king of jokes for weeks. I'd genuinely forgotten about them.

I used to ALWAYS believe the same way too!, hehehehe, until that is until I tried one for the first time many years back now?, then .....
Let's just say, for something that's essentially 'Lemon', it's incredibly SWEET! (happy days ..... ) lol. :-)
