The world's volcanoes, both on land and undersea, generate about 200 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually.
Worldwide, flights produced 781 million tonnes of CO2 in 2015.

Damage is not an appropriate word. The planet adjusts quite easily. More co2 for the greenery and oceans to turn to oxygen. Just a cycle. Analyse what a volcano kicks out and you will soon realise that a jet engine is the equivalent of a grain of sand

it seems very much like they bottled it and pulled the plug on the remaining deals, they still got a large amount of publicity from it and when their website couldn't handle the traffic I think they just cut it off to save the hassle. There were plenty of different tickets available from Edinburgh when the database suddenly went offline and since then it hasn't come back.

If you was an eco warrior as you make us believe you would be living in a shed in the forest living off natural energy, instead you are probably sat in your central heated home, responding on some sort of mobile device, with the tv on in the background and tucking into your microwave meal for one.... not really saving the planet on your end either are you!!? Instead of complaining about the effects of global warming, why don't u do your bit instead of telling others what they shouldn't be doing!!

she didn't book the flight however she feels she's being victimised for taking a holiday while on maternity leave? how does ryanair know that's shes on maternity leave?

The fee for bringing her 6 month along is true however the £2 offer has conditions it's an Adult / Teen fare which is £2 each way however infants are not covered on the offer it seems so the fare is £20 each way probably for insurance purposes.

As for her fines and charges to the point she wont fly with ryanair again she checked in late and got fined £150 that was possibly for the whole family, and oversized baggage who knows if it was or wasnt people bring more back than they go away with.

She didn't book the flight anyway for the £2 although she should have read the terms and conditions rather than run to the sun to report about a charge she hasn't paid and call it descrimination against parents on maternity leave and how it's a scam! lol

She's blaming it on descrimination for a holiday during maternity leave ? wtf ... she checked in late and got £150 fine she had oversized hand luggage and was charged £60

Not exactly barcelona or £2 for that matter lol did get a sorta good deal however, i did have option of £2 flights but i couldn't fly on the wednesday because the flight is 6am and i have a blood test at 10am lol

£9.99
Depart: London (Stansted) (STN)
Date: Thu 03 Nov 2016
Time: 06:50
£9.99
Depart: Derry (LDY)
Date: Thu 17 Nov 2016
Time: 08:45

It wouldn't let me pay by paypal so had to use gold old debit card inc baggage its £62.98 (20kg bag to be safe incase they get picky about my hand luggage)

I couldn't get any trains going at that time of night so ... i have booked anything yet ... however if i could arrive there at midnight on wednesday but train would cost £120 return which isn't worth it for the time + 4 changes.

Booked the flight reguardless but i will see if my neighbour will help me out if i throw him the fuel money if not national express £44 return from Portsmouth - stansted jouney time 4.44 hours but would arrive at airport at around 1am and then of course flights not until 6.50am so a few cigs and a coffee and maybe some internet browsing if they got any free wifi lol.

Will be a nice surprise for my folks to see me for 2 weeks before my 30th

That's not a search results page. It's the page for the promotion itself:
https://www.ryanair.com/gb/en/plan-trip/explore/flight-deals-and-sales
Until a while ago, there were destination options available under the all airports on that page. So it's not a case of choosing a route/date and it being unavailable. It's the promotion itself that is iffy. However, for example under Belfast, Berlin was one of the options on that promotion page, and it appears to still be available when doing a manual search so there are still ones available but the promotion page itself is not showing them.

FML flybe flights i was looking up prices gone up a hell of a lot since last night like £80 much, was about to book the ryanair flight but now i found a new bigger issue, there's no trains running from portsmouth - stansted by 6am and if i rushed and got a train arriving after 6am the return price for the train is now all of a sudden £120 return

Not quite sure why such a downer on Ryanair. Maybe it is because they are not members of IATA and therefore IOSA certified but they have never had a fatal crash in the 30 years they have been around, despite operating more flights than either of the two airlines you quote. The same can't be said of Singapore airlines.

Yes, but only if you have pre-booked in advance and bring your pre-printed pass, otherwise a £45 excess applies. Unzipping/unbuttoning of flies is £69 and is mandatory as passenger is not allowed to do this for safety reasons. Re-zipping of flies is £123 and is also mandatory.
Service in excess of 10 seconds is chargeable at a further £1 per second with a minimum charge of £50.
Click here [_____] for a further 27 pages of small print and additional charges.

i think their database might have crashed now, when you click the the "get deal" above it used to show you all destinations available from the different airports, now it shows no flights available from any of them and when i try to connect from different places it stops dead immeadiately. I'm guessing something else has crashed but the website can stay up, probably their connecting flight booking database is dead for now.

Let's see if anyone can book around this time

You have had a bad experience with them and therefore someone who has booked multiple times with them without problems is considered stupid doing so? Just because their own experience is different from yours doesn't mean you have to be hostile towards them for disagreeing with what your own personal experience would suggest. I've never had any problems with Ryanair. Nor have any friends of mine. Therefore none of us would have any qualms about booking with them again. We must all be stupid then since your experience must obviously be the true reflection of what everyone will experience by booking with them...

"Hopefully something similar will happen to you" What a kind and thoughtful person  thank you.

I have been 'stupidly' using them for around 4 years now, and only had an issue (Weather related) once, they weren't the best at informing everyone what was going on. But when I'm paying £20 regularly for a return trip to Ireland I cant really complain.

Did Ryan 'Scare' charge you £99 for moving your flights? I'm still trying to see where that figure comes from?

I did this also , website will tell there is a charge to amend certain booking sections (e.g. £110 fee for a name change lol) just click on the "live chat" button which should be in the corner of your page - tell them what's happened and they should (as they done with me) re-send your email itinerary with the changes done free of charge.

what are you looking for? there's loads from edinburgh, flights go out on a tue/wed, you can get £4 return if you fly back same day or 1 week later and some places maybe £11 return if you go for a few days and come back sunday. I found plenty of flights from Edinburgh or Glasgow

For people using Chrome, you'll notice the circle spinning at top and connecting..... at bottom left, after about 10 seconds it stops and you haven't connected so you need to refresh.
I just refreshed about 6 or 7 times and finally it kicked in again and i connected. I was able to book edinburgh to copenhagen return for £4 for a week. You just have to keep refreshing until it finally lets you connect.

We do check online and have followed the process to book a flight for next February (well in advance); we have just had our flights moved by 12 hours for a party of 20 causing costs to change hotel / travel / work leave times etc for all. We weren't informed either by email /sms, we found out by chance by one of the party checking the flights, so yes, Ryan Scare. Terrible service.. happy you are stupid enough to continue booking with them on a regular basis. Hopefully something similar will happen to you and your flight in the near future, you wouldn't be quite so defensive about the company then....

if absolutely nothing comes up when it goes to show you the dates then you're not connected, you might see the circle spinning at the top of page or connecting..... at bottom if you mouse down. I had to click the link i used 3 or 4 times before it kicked in. Just keep trying, if you do get lucky and are allowed to connect it'll kick in right away and show you your flights, if it shows nothing you know you haven't connected so try again. I'd also close any ryan air windows you have open.

The airline quality makes me concerned. I'm going to stick with Emirates and Singapore airlines for now. I think it's worth the extra few pounds, knowing we will get back in one piece .. And without delay..

I'll get my coat..
benlondon to firstofficer
26 Oct 16 1 #70
yes because Emirates and Singapore Airlines often fly London to Hamburg etc don't they

and secondly, there is nothing wrong with Ryanair, you are very misguided, every airline which operates in the EU has to meet the safety criteria set

That was not due to pilot error may I add. I believe it was an air traffic control problem, but I may be wrong.

Ryan Scare, oh how funny....

I fly with Ryan air at least a dozen times a year and have never paid anything above the advertise rate at time of booking. If your too stupid to check in online, or look at what the charges are for additional / oversize bags then you deserve to get hit with a big fee
dreadzone101
26 Oct 16 #81
Sometimes even the most frequent flyers can make booking mistakes. Was just making sure this wasn't the case :stuck_out_tongue: When I've searched Ryanair flights in the past sometimes there'd be a reduced price for a particular day with limited spaces. Perhaps that was the reason rather than any technical problem so hopefully it'll all be fine!

Remember this is Ryanair it might look cheap but they will find some way to get more money out of you. Then if you write to CEO to complain he will literally tell you to f off, it's their style. On the plus side at least you can fly from their convenient and nearby London Truro airport.

I use ryanair all the time and i love it the only two words of warning the main one is what ever the current handhold restrictions they are using size wise stick to or if you knowingly exceed be prepared to pay the consequences. You may be able to bluff it but more than likely they are not very lenient as a planeload coming back from Berlin found out one time.
The other one is where ever you flying to with ryanair research what airport you will be flying into which can sometimes literally tens of miles away from your end destination or city.Enjoy your flights any other questions ask below.

Hey all, I managed to book my flight finally after having issues - I realised if you just simply wait, it'll light up after being greyed out for a bit (I'm using Chrome anyway btw). It's the same when clicking continue and confirming what kind of seats you want on the next page, the same happened here. I echo someone else's comment here of the site being hammered indeed but at least it's all working, even if it takes a bit longer

And you're certain you didn't buy 15th for both outgoing and return? The promotion banner/image says Tues/Wed in November so for me only 15th (Tues) was £2 and 13th is £21 regardless of booking as one way or return. So I think you got a special fare [/quote

My colleagues are in stitches at "And you're sure you didn't buy 15th for both outgoing and return" Oh boy, if you only knew how many flights I book a year lol

1. Lighten up, you're as stiff as a board.

2. Glad you have had a good experience; we have just had our flights moved by 12 hours for a party of 20 causing costs to change hotel times etc. Oh, we weren't informed either, we found out by chance and checking. So yes, Ryan Scare.

3. Just because you have had a good experience doesn't mean everyone has, or haven't experienced additional charges.

26 Oct 16 #56
I think the site is having problems. Irrespective of where i'm choosing to fly from and to or the dates, there are no flights showing. There's no way they have sold every seat for every flight they run within the next 2 months
Devro
26 Oct 16 4 #55
I agree 100%!

I have flown Ryanair approximately four flights per year for 20 years and, because I read their terms and conditions, I have never had to pay anything extra to them.

Their new planes are very impressive, with mood lighting and narrow seats which give more legroom.

And it is very rarely that I have ever been delayed on a Ryanair flight.

Finally, I support them charging people who try to bring on half their wardrobe because they end up taking up all the overhead lockers, people have to put their bags elsewhere on the plane, end up going against the flow of traffic after landing, hold everyone up.

I am all for Ryanair. Hot from me.

I'm confused as to what you mean by book separately? Fares for each day remain constant even when you switch between return/one-way or change passenger amount, so the final cost shouldn't change. Not for me anyway. 15-17th would be £15 return for 1 person though. Did you by any chance change to those dates instead, and then booked it thinking it was the cost for 2 people, when it should be £30? It's the only reasoning I could come up with for getting to a £7.50 return price, but perhaps it was a different set of dates?
