Thanks OP - worth a punt. Though my money's on it being a deliberate misprice to harvest email addresses (and real addresses) prior to cancellation with the usual 'We're awfully sorry we made a mistake' guff.

This happens so often on here. I think it's got to the point where there should be some change to the law about deliberate misprices.

I have a slightly older model of the Roberts Internet radio and the menus are painful to use. As another poster has mentioned, it loses station settings too. Is this model programmable via an iPhone/android app? If not then you're better off with your mobile with TuneIn app and some cheap Bluetooth speakers.

Google search on barcode number 05038301304324 given for it comes up with a battery pack for the Stream93i which also ties in the product code BP93I as shown at Hughes and not the Stream93i itself.

Also another site that uses the same distie (Spicers) shows it as a battery pack. And a pretty overpriced one for that matter.

don't think that's actually an on purpose misprice, it's also the wrong price (and description?) at http://www.buy-stationery.co.uk. I think it's a distie error.
patrick_000
18 Oct 16#45
Yes, showing as out of stock and £1200 for me too. With the advent of cheap Bluetooth speakers and smartphones, this radio is quite pricey and doesn't really offer much. It can be added to the long list of things made less necessary by smartphones - calculators, games consoles, ipods, alarm clocks, laptops, tom tom, torch, camera and so on.

Price is too good to be true for this model....... usually about £130.
I've been thinking about buying the 93i for a while, but put off because Roberts wont update the 83i for bbc listen again.
If Roberts aren't going to give a crap about 83i owners, then they wont about any 93i owners updates in the future either.
Great customer service for a radio that costs well over £100..... have a read of thread on DS.
Probably just as well. Saves the inevitable 'why do we need this?' grilling from the wife....

Thanks for the latest updates. Apologies from me as the OP that the orders have not been fulfilled. I've been looking out for one of these for about 6 months but the price has barely shifted.
What the general consensus on posting these type of deals which are waaaay below the normal price and look likely to be price mistakes? Post or not post? Is there a hotukdeal etiquette for this? I feel a bit bad for posting this now

If I were you, I'd wait until the item has at least been dispatched before posting - that way at least you have a chance of getting one before the sudden rush of orders alerts the supplier to their mistake.

IMHO always post the deal. Its up to the people on here to decide to take the punt or not, and it looks most took it with a "well not likely but I'll have a go" attitude.

how long does it take for money go back Into account?
Newbold to 1988dave
19 Oct 16#68
That rather depends on whether Office Nerd are keener to improve their temporary cashflow or to reimburse their 'customers'.
If they behave responsibly and reputably, the money should be back in the account as quickly as it was taken - today or tomorrow. Anything longer than that and you'd want to start wondering why not.

The battery pack should be around £40 though.
They are fully aware that they made a mistake on their website.
The item will be cancelled today.
Genuine mistake -- it was for the battery pack.
They do not stock the radio.
About 300 orders for the radio to cancell.
