Is this another of those Marmite-type Iceland offers where it's heavily advertised but the offer only exists for about 5% of the people who turn up to buy it?

You may buy for £3 but you still have the cost of receiving into warehouse, picking, transport to store and handling. Really they are actually a loss leader. Spar NI have them until Sunday at 2 for £7.

Yep, and the warehouse men, lorry drivers, shelf stackers, and till operators all work free of charge. The shop doesn't cost a penny to run, and the government doesn't want any tax.
There is so much more involved in selling a product then the simple buy/sell prices.

Most of the supermarkets are doing this with most of the boxes of chocolates. As they've all been reduced in content, none of them are worth what they are asking.
